Throughout your time on the island, there's been a steady rhythm; the murders, the trials, the executions, the clean-up afterwards that leave just up remnants for you to remember what was lost. This Monday morning though, things are different. The debris and any biohazards are cleared, but no effort has been made to repair the games at the arcade, or to restock the chemicals and damaged equipment at the laboratory.

Odd.

If you cast your eyes to the sky, you'll also notice that the distortion is also lingering—there's certainly less of it at least, a haze still lingering over the go-karts, one whirlpool lingering out in the sea. It could be worse, surely.

Though there's no new locations for you to take your mind off of all these oddities either. In fact, looking at your device to access the resort map area and scrolling past Kakapo's Nest triggers an error.

There’s one more, slightly more eclectic change: the kittybots, instead of having cute kitty ears and faces, are now without exception round-headed. This would make them look like ordinary robots, but their heads actually now look like a bowl of fish swimming, which occasionally form up into expressions. A change of pace for everything, it seems.

[ Despite everything from the other day, Xiao is here. He looks calm, back to his usual self, though there is obvious shame on his face when he speaks up. ]

...There was a high-pitched noise that occurred yesterday and temporarily ended my karma. That is how I was able to break out of the state I was in. I'm sure we're aware by now that this came from Shigaraki.

But...I'm fairly certain it nullified all my abilities. I could not even sense my other powers from my Vision. This nullification only lasted for around fifteen minutes.

How do your abilities feel now? Are they back to where they were before they were nullified?

Anyone else notice the sound came from us? Makes you wonder if they implanted something inside of us of if that is how one of their abilities works. The formal makes sense because they would need a way to monitor us at all times while this whole experiment happens.

I'm assuming they are using their resources for however they plan for the ending to go. The other option that is likely is they are intending on destroying everything here when they go. [ Why clean mess when there is more mess to be had ]

Revival of the Dead

[ After debating back and forth about how to share this for a moment, Lacus is just going to position herself next to a whale music speaker and share her information rather quietly. Sorry everyone, please huddle around. ]

I won't apologize for not sharing this earlier - even now, I am only sharing it because I believe that there is not much more damage to be done. We have two killers in our middle. Some of us, and this includes myself, have befriended our administrators to a degree. We have killed and betrayed each other. Those of us who trust one another do. Those who don't have no reason to start.

[ She tries to meet everyone's eyes once after that preamble, but then she continues. ]

Merlin derives his power from the bonds of others. The closer we tie ourselves to one another, the more Merlin receives power over the islands. It's how he's keeping the dead in limbo. I assume our recent experience with sharing memories was likewise an attempt to foster closeness among us and make Merlin stronger.

It's not just big things like that, however, but also small gestures like exchanging gifts or performing for one another... You get the picture. If Merlin didn't set the tasks himself, then they certainly benefit him a lot by sheer coincidence.

Lobelia believes that if we lend Merlin our full support on both sides, he'll be strong enough to even return those who have been taken from us to life.

[ She's just going to let the name Lobelia slide by here, if you want to grill her on having spoken to Lobelia you're going to have to put emphasis on it yourself. ]
