WEEK SIX
WEEK SIX
16 Vacationers
Throughout your time on the island, there's been a steady rhythm; the murders, the trials, the executions, the clean-up afterwards that leave just up remnants for you to remember what was lost. This Monday morning though, things are different. The debris and any biohazards are cleared, but no effort has been made to repair the games at the arcade, or to restock the chemicals and damaged equipment at the laboratory.
Odd.
If you cast your eyes to the sky, you'll also notice that the distortion is also lingering—there's certainly less of it at least, a haze still lingering over the go-karts, one whirlpool lingering out in the sea. It could be worse, surely.
Though there's no new locations for you to take your mind off of all these oddities either. In fact, looking at your device to access the resort map area and scrolling past Kakapo's Nest triggers an error.
There’s one more, slightly more eclectic change: the kittybots, instead of having cute kitty ears and faces, are now without exception round-headed. This would make them look like ordinary robots, but their heads actually now look like a bowl of fish swimming, which occasionally form up into expressions. A change of pace for everything, it seems.

But we do know it was long enough for them to get a good look at us and figure out what we're all supposedly able to do.

I don't suppose anyone here is good at surgery? Though ... if it's tech of some sort, maybe a strong enough burst of electromagnetic energy to knock it offline...?
[ what are the odds of it being properly shielded? and then the more salient question: how would they be able to do that. ]

Merlin seemed to think it was technology. I don't know if he knows anything specific, though... I'll try to ask.

Like grapes.

Does anyone here have tech-related powers, I feel like most of the group is skewed towards like, elemental powers or something which probably isn't too helpful.

That would explain the beeping that only some of us could hear, such as when we were summoned to the waterfall.

If that's it, I wonder if it's really the drug that gave Wei Wuxian his powers back for a bit, or if the administrators just... gave them back to test it.

It likely won't be of much help. He is likely missing a number of cards in his deck anyways.

It doesn't matter. I just mean we should expect to be lied to, if they even told him the truth.

Of course... that would be so easy, wouldn't it?

But there's certain parties who stay awake then, aren't there? Not as easy to get at them.
[ so, killers in the crowd: did you feel any more powerful than normal when you skipped sleeping for a night? ]

... how else would you get everyone except a select few to fall asleep at the exact same time? Same thing with the barrier thing we kept testing, it's like they have to keep us in a certain place and contained.
