WEEK 3; TRIAL
TRIAL
Like last week, the kitty bots herd everyone over to the sandbar once the time for investigation has concluded. At the least, this little piece of your personal hells has emerged unscathed in all the wreckage. Unlike last week, Overhaul and Shigaraki are already there waiting for you, the former looking about as grouchy as a mask can get and the latter looking pretty amused.
Off to the side in a booth of its own is the body as well as attendant kittybots; apparently it’s messy enough this time to require some clearance, but it’s still close enough for the admins to oversee.
This murder sure was something, even for your masterminds. Theorize and/or judge about who could have done such a thing and get a snack from your local kitty bots if you get hungry—the theme is italian today, with pizza, mozzarella sticks, stuffed meatballs and the like. (( OOC: Welcome to your second trial! You'll have 7 hours (8PM EST/5PM PST) to find the killer and send them off their death, if you believe in justice at least. Since this is scapegoat style, finding the correct killer is not mandatory!
Please remember to vote before then unless you've spoken to a mod, as votes are our stand-in for AC. ))

LAUNDRY - Washing Machines
Out of all the rooms in the main building, the laundry was hit hardest. The washers and dryers were largely destroyed. Two different forms of destruction were applied here. Most of the machines appear to have been sheared clean through - I examined the cuts, but I could not find any indication as to a weapon. The damage was very clean, no residue of any kind was to be found.
A few of the other machines appear to have been... crumpled for lack of a better word to use. As though someone was able to crush them like one would crush a tissue before discarding of it.
There was one pair of machines left intact, on top of it was Vergilius' clothes - the black set he was commonly wearing. The clothes were freshly washed and folded very orderly. I examined them but there was nothing else of note about them.

Considering the room damage, I was thinking the fight started there if that's the case.

BODY EVIDENCE
I was the one who found Vergilius' body.
[Is this the proper etiquette for this? Is there proper etiquette for this?]
It was underneath a mangled go-kart on the go-kart tracks and had the sort of bruising that you might expect from that.
But that's where things stopped making sense. Someone had cut his heart right out of his chest and then put his shirt back on over it and buttoned it back up, as though that would somehow hide what had happened. What's more, there was a small bruise on the back of his head as though he'd been struck there, and while the majority of the bruising was on the front of his body, there were bruises across the back of his shoulders as well.
There was also some unexplained discoloration around his ears as well as some discharge from them, which could be from the head injury. And I don't think I even need to mention the amount of blood that was present...
[He thinks that's everything that's important?]

[ honestly, crea doesn't have much else to say on the subject. the mental image is enough to stun him. ]
What did the bruises on the back of his shoulders look like? Could it be from slamming into the go-karts?

Beach
There were foot prints that lead to Seagull's Playground, but unfortunately it's sand. [ Why sand ] I couldn't figure out their sizing and it looks like whomever was taking a late night stroll weren't very careful with their steps. It looks like two people came together and then there were hurried movements by more than one person.
railway crimes
[ anyway. he'll wave his phone, and on it there will be pictures of the holes on the bridge if anyone wants to take a look! ]
These are closer to the Seagull's Playground side, and when I was looking, there didn't seem to be any particular pattern or rhyme or reason to the destruction. I did, however, see that similar damage was done on the beach on the main resort island side.
[ for dramatic effect, he'll pick up the piece of wood that he pilfered from the bridge. ]
There wasn't much of the... missing wood, just these small pieces, so my main question is where the missing parts of the bridge went? There wasn't any evidence of scorching or like the wood being torn away from the bridge, so I don't think it was burnt or washed out to sea. Think we can chalk this up to funky power usage.
Oh, one last thing. [ changing the picture from the blasted bridge to one of the blood drizzle on the bridge (ty mods for clarification) instead ] Someone bled all over the bridge all the way to the go-kart area, but with the amount of blood? I don't know if we want to check if anyone nicked themselves, they might have healed up before coming here.
[ a shrug! joshua is trying to be helpful but not by much lmfao sorry ]

laundry p2 + note on its outside area
As for the laundry room itself that hasn't been covered already, the walls have some cracking, the stock of detergents looks fine, and the pipes' damage do not appear to be from stress like freezing water. Just regular damage. There's also no blood that I could see.
...Close to the laundry side, there are the remains of a goose. Only feathers and blood now.

GO-KARTS - non-corpse details (cw gore)
I also noticed two district trails of blood droplets. One followed a straight path, more or less, and only trailed a short distance away from Vergilius where he lay. The other was much more winding and led out of the area entirely.
[As someone who fidgets and gestures with her arms and hands quite often as she talks, Quin moves hers throughout her presentation of evidence, especially to demonstrate the pattern of blood spatters and craters.]
There was also a standard kitchen knife, which I have brought wrapped in some cloth. It was covered in blood as well as some other material which I can safely estimate to have been organ tissue.

still more laundry room
Unfortunately, the hole had no clearly discernible shape, and there was nothing I could find rubbed off on or caught on the rough edges of it that might have provided insight into what it was that escaped through it.
On the floor, there were several shallow craters, roughly six to seven feet in diameter and five inches in depth, though there was nothing I could find inside of them. The debris itself all seemed to be from the roof and the washing machines.

MORE BEACH + Note
The holes are scattered around kind of randomly, and I will say that I didn't find any blood or ... uh. Other bits inside them! But given how big they are that's a lot of displaced sand that I couldn't seem to find all of? There were some small sand piles outside them, sure, but. The edges of the holes are jarringly abrupt and not a gentle slope, which makes me figure it was probably some sort of power, but I have no idea what might have made them - it's not like they're wet or shaped like anything in particular, and I didn't see anything like melted glass or sand to suggest anyone used fire.
One thing I want to say about the blood is ... I do want to remind everyone that apparently according to his profile Vergilius could control blood? So not all of it might be from injury. I mean, it could be, and probably at least some of it is! I dunno how his power works! But I do want to put that out there, just in case?
