Like last week, the kitty bots herd everyone over to the sandbar once the time for investigation has concluded. At the least, this little piece of your personal hells has emerged unscathed in all the wreckage. Unlike last week, Overhaul and Shigaraki are already there waiting for you, the former looking about as grouchy as a mask can get and the latter looking pretty amused.

Off to the side in a booth of its own is the body as well as attendant kittybots; apparently it’s messy enough this time to require some clearance, but it’s still close enough for the admins to oversee.

This murder sure was something, even for your masterminds. Theorize and/or judge about who could have done such a thing and get a snack from your local kitty bots if you get hungry—the theme is italian today, with pizza, mozzarella sticks, stuffed meatballs and the like.

(( OOC: Welcome to your second trial! You'll have 7 hours (8PM EST/5PM PST) to find the killer and send them off their death, if you believe in justice at least. Since this is scapegoat style, finding the correct killer is not mandatory!

If anything, all it accomplished was riling up quite a few of our number in the spa. It rang out like an ill omen.

Which track is it? And how did you go about setting it up?

He can play sounds into people's heads with his magic. Maybe he can do the same with machines.

Bird mask did say that he was going to up the security, although I'm surprised you can affect the system with magic.

...Would those sounds potentially be able to rupture that chosen person's eardrums without inflicting similar harm on bystanders, I wonder? Or are they more along the lines of an auditory hallucination?

I mean, I'm pretty sure the human body can cause damage it thinks it's getting anyway.

Yes, I suppose that is possible in some situations. I wonder if the same would apply in this one.

It is, unfortunately, possible... and, of course, there is also an entire ocean where things can be discarded. I suppose it could even have been fed to a bird of prey.

I don't know that we should pin our hopes on the possibility of finding it.

If he was not speaking loudly to you when he did this, it would be hard to determine whether such a method could truly cause physical damage or not... but I think it is helpful information to have just the same. Thank you.

I wouldn't put it past him to be able to do physical things. He was able to put a lot of resistance to every muscle in my body just by snapping his fingers, enough that I had to struggle to hold myself up.

Yes, I am quite certain he can... I just wish I knew how each of the many ways in which he can use his power worked.

He did it on some coconuts, and they just sort of… burst into pieces. The sound wasn’t crazy loud, but… It was just some coconuts.

I picked a track at random, so I'm afraid you won't find any rhyme or reason to my selection. As for how I went about it... Well, explaining the principles of audiomancy is far too much work.

That is a risk with a trial format like this. It is very easy to sway the group into one line of thinking.

Perhaps I am enjoying myself. But no, I am not accusing you. However, the circumstances around this case seem to be leaning so heavily against you that I wonder if someone desired very strongly to have you bask in the spotlight.

[Since he's right next to Lobelia, he lowers his voice.]

The damage done certainly resembled a storm, wouldn't you say?

It would appear so, wouldn't it? After all, our gracious hosts don't care whether the culprit is rightly accused of the crime or not. All they want is a sacrifice.

I have no intention of dying here. Not yet! Should it come to blows, I won't hesitate to retaliate in kind and be the last man standing on this island. I would hope for everyone's sake that they consider their choix a little more carefully.

[As for the mentions of a storm...]

This certainly does seem to be the work of a catastrophe naturelle. The Tower could have easily made such a scene were it not crippled as severely as it was.

[Honestly, he does trust that Lobelia would rather create no chance for error and just kill everyone so he didn't have to go through one of these trials.]

Ah, so it's the Tower that typically gives you those destructive abilities? What can it even do in its current state?

Oui! It's certainly not beyond me to kill, but I can only wreak acts of destruction on a large scale with aide. Unfortunately, in its present state, The Tower is in no position to provide any!

[...But it can do something rather interesting. Taking Temenos by the hand, Lobelia guides him over to Haruka, snapping his fingers and summoning a tarot card into his hand.]

Within this card lies The Tower's world, a parallel dimension rife with bloodthirsty monsters who know nothing but destruction and carnage! Had I wanted to kill Monsieur Vergilius, I could have easily done so just like this—!

[Snapping his fingers, Haruka is sucked into the tarot card and thus into that monster-filled world where a normie like him has a slim chance of surviving on his own. Ta-da!]
