Like last week, the kitty bots herd everyone over to the sandbar once the time for investigation has concluded. At the least, this little piece of your personal hells has emerged unscathed in all the wreckage. Unlike last week, Overhaul and Shigaraki are already there waiting for you, the former looking about as grouchy as a mask can get and the latter looking pretty amused.

Off to the side in a booth of its own is the body as well as attendant kittybots; apparently it’s messy enough this time to require some clearance, but it’s still close enough for the admins to oversee.

This murder sure was something, even for your masterminds. Theorize and/or judge about who could have done such a thing and get a snack from your local kitty bots if you get hungry—the theme is italian today, with pizza, mozzarella sticks, stuffed meatballs and the like.

(( OOC: Welcome to your second trial! You'll have 7 hours (8PM EST/5PM PST) to find the killer and send them off their death, if you believe in justice at least. Since this is scapegoat style, finding the correct killer is not mandatory!

As Chère posited, the ears are quite délicat. Just last week, Monsieur Skywarp nearly blew my eardrums out during karaoke...! Mmm, Très bien!

We can reasonably assume, given all the havok wreaked last night, that it was quite a loud fight! That easily could have damaged Monsieur Vergilius' eardrums.

I would be curious to know when in the fight that occurred... I imagine it would have become a crippling detriment to him to lose his hearing.

Mm, oui! Your sense of balance is controlled by the fluids in your ears. He would have had quite a difficult time fighting back with ruptured ear drums.

Do you happen to use your audiomancy in combat? If so, how would you prevent something like that from happening to your own ears in the process?

Loud and destructive. Assuming Vergilus was unable to crush large objects, our killer must be incredibly strong or powerful.

There's three folks we know from profiles could make the kind of sound that'd pop your ears: Lobelia with his sound shite, Kanon with her explosions, and Skywarp with the rifles.

The rest of you lot? Vague enough to not be certain.

I'll point out that my own explosions could theoretically do the same thing, though this place seems to be limiting how large I'm able to make them.

Your profile says y'can "control sound". It's also got a couple extra interestin' things we might want a deeper look at if you ask me.

Y'got somethin' called "The Tower" in there. Bit pretentious callin' it "colossus" for "wreckin' destruction". Care to give a few details on that?

What kind of marks would an explosion leave behind? Wouldn't there be scorch marks or more damage where they were placed?

That's right. It's firepower, so leaves fire. So Shuda or Kanon woulda left some more ash around if they did it...narrows the options down a bit more then.

You also missed a couple options. According to the profiles, Chuuya has the ability to manipulate gravity and Alice can use elemental abilities. A strong wind spell may have done some of this as well.

We also have to keep in mind what our dear Verg could have done. Have you seen a demonstration of his abilities? He was very sure of his capabilities and from how he is it wouldn't be an exaggeration.

I believe someone brought up the thought that maybe the culprit was injured, too. If that were the case, then Kanon also has healing abilities, if I remember correctly.

I would like to bring up that Skywarp was rather... preoccupied during the night. He wouldn't be necessarily the best candidate, unless it happened well before nighttime.
