Like last week, the kitty bots herd everyone over to the sandbar once the time for investigation has concluded. At the least, this little piece of your personal hells has emerged unscathed in all the wreckage. Unlike last week, Overhaul and Shigaraki are already there waiting for you, the former looking about as grouchy as a mask can get and the latter looking pretty amused.

Off to the side in a booth of its own is the body as well as attendant kittybots; apparently it’s messy enough this time to require some clearance, but it’s still close enough for the admins to oversee.

This murder sure was something, even for your masterminds. Theorize and/or judge about who could have done such a thing and get a snack from your local kitty bots if you get hungry—the theme is italian today, with pizza, mozzarella sticks, stuffed meatballs and the like.

(( OOC: Welcome to your second trial! You'll have 7 hours (8PM EST/5PM PST) to find the killer and send them off their death, if you believe in justice at least. Since this is scapegoat style, finding the correct killer is not mandatory!

I was the one who found Vergilius' body.

It was underneath a mangled go-kart on the go-kart tracks and had the sort of bruising that you might expect from that.

But that's where things stopped making sense. Someone had cut his heart right out of his chest and then put his shirt back on over it and buttoned it back up, as though that would somehow hide what had happened. What's more, there was a small bruise on the back of his head as though he'd been struck there, and while the majority of the bruising was on the front of his body, there were bruises across the back of his shoulders as well.

There was also some unexplained discoloration around his ears as well as some discharge from them, which could be from the head injury. And I don't think I even need to mention the amount of blood that was present...

[He thinks that's everything that's important?]

... I believe I have an idea about what specifically has happened to his ears. Such discharge could be explained by ruptured eardrums, no?

That's what I was thinking. Either that or from a blow to the head that was strong enough to cause a serious head injury.

Either the head trauma or maybe a very loud sound would do it, I imagine.

Let's also not forget what we heard on the sound system when we woke up this morning. Our captors mentioned that they had nothing to do with that.

Yes, indeed. Our culprit appears to have chosen our waking tune this morning.

I do not believe that is without reason - there is a message in it.

What did the bruises on the back of his shoulders look like? Could it be from slamming into the go-karts?

It could be. They definitely looked like they came from some sort of impact.
