The events of the past weekend, the past week, may linger on your mind as you awaken to the sun rising on your third week on Sungem's Peak. The rays of the sun are welcoming as always, and so are the amenities, and the new island— Kingfisher's Retreat.

The theme this week certainly seems to be relaxation and excitement, perhaps with a mind to distract all vacationers that your number has decreased by two. Or maybe you're the type to take a plunge in the name of your sacrificed vacationers? Either way, there's plenty of do, including more tasks for the objective minded.

Tuesday morning, in front of the cabanas

[ good morning, everyone! it looks like a table has been hauled over here from somewhere, decorated all in the spirit of vacation with sarongs from the boutique being improvised as appropriately beach-y tablecloths, and a couple of pool floaties and tiki cups arranged around the corners for spice. someone's acquired or made a banner to drape across the front, spelling out SEAGEM SWAP MEET.

so accordingly, the center of the table is left clear though, in order to easily display some of the items on it! including but not limited to:

• a harpoon
  
• harpoon... 2! rip to skywarp but anyway
  
• a fancy hand mirror, gold in color and covered in purple roses
  
• some sort of artifact or relic that appears to be a large, egg-shaped orb

... as well as a little sign that says 'more items potentially available upon further inquiry! ★'

behind the table sit Wang Lu and Magolor, both chilling under a beach umbrella arranged for maximum shade. can't go getting sunburn now, right?

(and on a corner of the table sit ... the missing butter knives. gasp! just what are these two up to.

this is a joint tl, so you can specify who you're talking to whether it's one, the other, or both! or just leave it in the hands of fate, who knows?) ]

Ah... You should have told me of this yesterday...

[ Alas, he already gave away his unwanted things...

Still, he looks through the things on display. He only admires the beautiful mirror for a moment before pouting at his reflection and putting it back. Then he ponders the orb... ]

... May I ask what else you might have available?

Sorry, we were kind of still getting this set up yesterday!

[ whoopsies? magolor leans back in his seat though. today he's sporting one of those cheap kitschy plastic sunglasses as part of his outfit, perched jauntily on top of his hood. ]

[He originally was just going to walk right past, given that nothing looks or smells like food. But something gives him pause.

Coming over to hover at the mirror. Huh.]

[ He'll pick up the mirror and make a show of considering it for a moment before offering it over. It's not food and Beel wouldn't be interested in seeing hiss own reflecting... which means... ]

[ hmm...well, crea's already been to one yard sard, so why not a second one?

he looks at the items placed out with a curious tilt of his head and tapping his chin. observing the sign put out, he figures that it'd be worth a shot. ]

Nice collection. What other stuff do you guys have?

[ He's looking at the items, but what stands out to him the most aren't the mirror or the relic, but... ]

...Why all the knives?

[ That's... a slightly bewildering number of butter knives. Psyche glances a little at the other items, but this is really the lingering question. ]

Are you... making something out of those?

[Shuda was mostly just walking on by, but that's enough stuff sitting there on the table that he can't help but wander over in the hopes that maybe, just maybe, his sword has happened to show up.

He definitely looks more than a little disappointed that he doesn't see it there, but then...]

... don't tell me you're holding all of these hostage for ransom.

[He gestures at the butter knives.]

[ Of course Wei Wuxian is going to go right up to that swap meet sign and take a gander at what's available.

He immediately leans closer to look at that mirror. ]

Ah, what a lovely mirror...

[WORP - Skywarp steps out from a golden portal in front of the cabanas, opting for that instead of using the door. As he trips and stumbles out of it, still adjusting to the one-foot lifestyle, it’s little wonder why.]

Stupid…

[He mutters under his breath, but then perks up at the sight of the swap meet. How delightful!]

Ah, how generous. [Then his eyes land on the harpoons.] How perfect.

[He reaches for them, kind of hopping on over. It makes an awful clang.]

I’ll be taking these both. If you don’t mind.

[Said in the kind of tone where he really doesn’t care if they do or don’t.]

i - poolside;

[ Wei Wuxian is sitting on the edge of the pool, his feet dipped in the water and a notepad on his lap. He's got quite a few supplies he raided from the stationery section of the gift shop and he seems to be drawing something, though it's hard to tell what it is from a distance.

Should anyone come closer, he'll wave them down. ]

How would you like a portrait? Consider it a gift from me to you!

[ A real gift from the heart. ]

ii - onsen

[ Naturally, he's going to take some time to relax a bit in the onsen now that they've got access to it. There's one particular part of it that he's drawn to, however, and that's the cold plunge.

Anyone he comes across will be gently nudged in the side. ]

Say, what do you think about going into the cold plunge?

iii - waterfall

[ Around sunset, Wei Wuxian can be found at the small hut enjoying refreshments (in this case, a hard seltzer) and donning the "WORLD'S DEEPEST DIVE BAR" t-shirt. He isn't up to much, however, and simply enjoying the way the light reflects off of the waterfall to create a rainbow, and the setting sun causes various shadows to form along the cliffs.

It's a pretty sight, one that even has Wei Wuxian go quiet for a little while. ]

[ Wei Wuxian is always out and about and can be found just about anywhere on the various islands, occasionally with 808 in tow. Feel free to DM me or just give me your own prompt here! ]

[plunges]

[ He's minding his own business and just happens to pass by the poolside on the way to the resort, when Wei Wuxian waves him down. Xiao glances at him before he walks over, curious about what the other's got in mind.

More kidding around, perhaps? Is this going to be a bad portrait? ]

[ zelkov is, as usual, just here for the sake of exploring the new island and has no intention of doing any relaxing here. he wasn't really thinking about attempting this task either, but... he looks over. ]

Are you that good at handling cold temperatures?

i - poolside

[Of course she's all over this. Predictably, she's in a suitably skimpy bikini.]

You will? Just for Kanon?!

[ he doesn't usually stop by the pool, but he makes enough treks up towards the book cafe for a nice cup of coffee now and then that he ends up catching sight of wwx as he passes by and coming closer to check out what he's up to. ]

Offering to do portraits of everyone, huh? That's pretty nice of you! Is this something you're offering our esteemed hosts too?

[ ho-oh might put it up. rapt0r will probably forget about it if they're generous? it's clear that's a joke, anyway, considering the way he folds a laugh into his hand before continuing. ]

Anyway, sure, I think it'd be neat. I can have a souvenir of the way I look right now for whenever we all get back to where we were!

i. spa

[ Psyche did a simple tour of the new island the first day it appeared. But she's back again to puzzle over the various components of the spa. She doesn't know what most of the products are, but she eventually discovers the wellness section. At last, something she can use!

The yoga mats aren't really ideal for practicing her basic martial arts exercises, but they're not really any worse than the fitness center, and the clothes from here are easier to move in. She'll be going through a variety of simple routines for a while, her sheathed sword set off to the side.

Or catch her curiously poking at the buttons on the sound system to find what they do. Louder... quieter... whale calls?? ]

—Uwah?! What... what is that?

ii. kitchen

[ After her spa adventures, Psyche can be found in the kitchen for... a while. She has a handwritten recipe and a pile of ingredients, as well as one of the little catbots all but corralled as she constantly tries to ask it questions. At least a robo-helper is theoretically infinitely patient?

It's probably apparent to anyone with more experience than she has — basically, anyone — that she doesn't much know what she's doing. But she's nothing if not persistent about it. ]

Excuse me. So I peel these first? Just the outer part?

[ Is she asking the catbot? The newest arrival? She'll give anyone greeting her a friendly smile. Or startle her, it's probably fine that she has a knife. ]

iii. wildcard

[ HMU with anything, or message for PCs/starters! Psyche can also be found meandering the beach on Tuesday night, lost in thought. ]

[ Xiao isn't a fan of cooking, but he's done it enough times to know the basics. Psyche seems to be having some trouble, and he may not be the best person to help, but he can try. He looks at what she's peeling, then at the recipe. ]

Let me see the recipe first.

[ Don't mind him coming up behind her and pressing one of the other whale call buttons. ]

[Of course Kanon was at the spa. And when she hears the weird noise:]

[WORP - a golden portal opens up in the wall and out tumbles Skywarp, looking…a little out of breath, actually, for a robot.

He feels some relief that he’s stumbled into a room with Psyche, rather than some of the others…he takes a moment to gather himself when : bam! Whale noise. He helpfully gives his answer.]

…Dreadful. [Said like it’s in no way a bad thing.] What sort of creature makes that sound?

[ she was probably asking the catbot, because zelkov has a tendency to just suddenly and silently appear out of the shadows.
