Throughout your time on the island, there's been a steady rhythm; the murders, the trials, the executions, the clean-up afterwards that leave just up remnants for you to remember what was lost. This Monday morning though, things are different. The debris and any biohazards are cleared, but no effort has been made to repair the games at the arcade, or to restock the chemicals and damaged equipment at the laboratory.

Odd.

If you cast your eyes to the sky, you'll also notice that the distortion is also lingering—there's certainly less of it at least, a haze still lingering over the go-karts, one whirlpool lingering out in the sea. It could be worse, surely.

Though there's no new locations for you to take your mind off of all these oddities either. In fact, looking at your device to access the resort map area and scrolling past Kakapo's Nest triggers an error.

There’s one more, slightly more eclectic change: the kittybots, instead of having cute kitty ears and faces, are now without exception round-headed. This would make them look like ordinary robots, but their heads actually now look like a bowl of fish swimming, which occasionally form up into expressions. A change of pace for everything, it seems.

...While I agree that Tomura and Overhaul will never be on actual good terms, that does not mean he will take the group's side against him.

I don't believe he will - but that doesn't mean this fact isn't of use, no?

Overhaul is the one who is planning all this. If we focus on him as our main enemy, Tomura has no reason to interfere with our doing.

... except maybe to tear Overhaul apart and turn him into dust limb by limb, at the end.

If you have a plan to actually take down Overhaul in a fight, then sure, maybe of use.

I don't think any of us but Tomura knows his full capabilities. And he's not about to coach us on that.

That tracks. He did tell me that we have yet to see Overhaul lose his cool in the slightest. In short, we would know if he was bothered because the damage would be quite pronounced.

Makes sense to me as well. We haven't managed anything that has significantly derailed his expectations of the outcome.

All I've noticed so far is that he seems to have to have direct hands-on contact with whatever he's remaking, even if it's at a distance.

But that's just from watching what he did at those two executions. And ... Beelzebub, that one time.

It's a good start. If we knew how wide the area of effect is...my hunch would be that the sandbar is there for a reason.

[This is mostly a quip, but he's also serious.]

While the matters of their abilities are an obstacle... We'll have to see what we find in the lab if we manage to storm it. Who's to say we can't use their own tools against them?

I'm referring to the drug they've been having Billy test over the course of our time here. Surely it would work on them as well.

What are your thoughts on all of this?

Me? I'd say the most pressing thing is securing an escape route. Even if someone does manage to take them down [ and considering their showing lol ], the island is almost finished.

They might not care if we try to secure an exit if they have their own route away. I still feel like we haven't seen the full deck and they may have something else in mind for us. Either way, we might want to figure out groups. Those who want to help secure an escape route, those who are smart with computers, and those who can defend against the nomu or our hosts if it comes down to it.

Yeah, that's a good point—just in case the places we're going for aren't roomy enough to hold all of us at once.

We can't predict that everything and everyone will go where we need them to, either, so it might be a good idea to make sure not to put all our computer people in one place, all our escape artists in another, and so forth.

Just in case our computer people run into the Nomu and the combat crew is halfway across the secret base, or something.

You've seen how fast a group can move when motivated by my sorcery. [She may be best suited for any groups that need a little speed.] Beyond that...

In a pinch, that which is dead does not need to breathe.

[Just in case anyone does get particularly zealous about blowing up those bulkheads...]

I can stay with those that will not be front-facing and secure an escape route. I'd rather leave the fighting up to the ones with the real capability for it.

[ He's not bad with hand-to-hand combat should things come down to it, but he'd rather the people who can explode things go before him. His necromancy will be a backup. ]

I think it goes without saying where I'd be the most useful.

That said, if anyone happens to have a sword they aren't using, I'd like to borrow it. I'd prefer not to have to rely on my Dark Bring in combat, especially with the limitations placed on it.

I'm going to fight. My powers seem to be back to normal--normal, for here, anyway. But in case something happens and I end up switching with Medea, it would be nice if anyone had something like a crossbow. I'd like to make certain she has more options than just my sword.

[ Someone give Medea a gun, it's what she and everyone deserves. ]
