WEEK SIX

WEEK SIX
16 Vacationers

Throughout your time on the island, there's been a steady rhythm; the murders, the trials, the executions, the clean-up afterwards that leave just up remnants for you to remember what was lost. This Monday morning though, things are different. The debris and any biohazards are cleared, but no effort has been made to repair the games at the arcade, or to restock the chemicals and damaged equipment at the laboratory.

Odd.

If you cast your eyes to the sky, you'll also notice that the distortion is also lingering—there's certainly less of it at least, a haze still lingering over the go-karts, one whirlpool lingering out in the sea. It could be worse, surely.

Though there's no new locations for you to take your mind off of all these oddities either. In fact, looking at your device to access the resort map area and scrolling past Kakapo's Nest triggers an error.

There’s one more, slightly more eclectic change: the kittybots, instead of having cute kitty ears and faces, are now without exception round-headed. This would make them look like ordinary robots, but their heads actually now look like a bowl of fish swimming, which occasionally form up into expressions. A change of pace for everything, it seems.

Yeah, that'd be nifty for an emergency, so it can't hurt to try as long as it doesn't impact our search much.

Honestly, what I personally would be trying to look for first is if there's an off switch to whatever they did to us, then whatever's most like, critical at the moment. Opening up passages and access and whatever. Whatever else we end up finding in the computers that needs dealing with.

After than ... I don't know. The usual priorities? Make sure we have a way out and that they don't manage to lock everything down? Stop them from making any more Nomu or whatever if needed?

Deal with them directly? Are people going out with the plan of dealing with them directly, or is that just a 'well if it happens- and it probably will- it happens'?

Sounds like a logical priority list to me. Not too rigid, with enough room for whatever unknown variables will happen. Just don't forget to look up and down.

[ as for the rest of that he shrugs and looks towards the rest of the room ]

We suuuure have a lot of unknown variables to deal with, don't we?

Just imagine if we'd missed the fact that there was some giant monster on the ceiling because we forgot to look up...

Hm, true, that would be bad. [ no nothing like that happened what are you talking about ] I'd highly recommend looking up, down, and side to side before entering a room.

Oh yeah, definitely gotta remember to do all that. It's just like in the horror games over in the arcade before it got all busted up. Not looking around's a great way to get jump-scared.

Jump-scared... [ a new term... ] Haha, yeah, that's one way to put it. Though maybe I could stand to jump more when something surprising happens.
