Throughout your time on the island, there's been a steady rhythm; the murders, the trials, the executions, the clean-up afterwards that leave just up remnants for you to remember what was lost. This Monday morning though, things are different. The debris and any biohazards are cleared, but no effort has been made to repair the games at the arcade, or to restock the chemicals and damaged equipment at the laboratory.

Odd.

If you cast your eyes to the sky, you'll also notice that the distortion is also lingering—there's certainly less of it at least, a haze still lingering over the go-karts, one whirlpool lingering out in the sea. It could be worse, surely.

Though there's no new locations for you to take your mind off of all these oddities either. In fact, looking at your device to access the resort map area and scrolling past Kakapo's Nest triggers an error.

There’s one more, slightly more eclectic change: the kittybots, instead of having cute kitty ears and faces, are now without exception round-headed. This would make them look like ordinary robots, but their heads actually now look like a bowl of fish swimming, which occasionally form up into expressions. A change of pace for everything, it seems.

[The sun hasn't even gone up in the sky yet, but a flash of light can be seen on the Seagull's Playground for anyone who happens to be up and about at this hour. It almost looks like a lightning storm is approaching, so maybe the forecast was off in its prediction of when storms would be happening?

Though this particular storm is entirely localized towards one Billy Butcher.

Somehow he isn't unconscious, but the force manages to knock him to the ground of the go-kart area despite trying to dodge out of the way. This is going to smart later.]

Chuffing hell...would you hold it for a bleedin' minute?! [Billy stands back up, holding his free hand up in an attempt at peace.]

Now. I know this looks fucking mad, but your life ain't in any danger, so--

[ Would her heart be racing like this if she weren't in any danger? The look Psyche shoots him is pure fury as she presses the heel of her hand against her chest and takes a few more steps back. ]

Did you... did you say that to Xiao? I thought you cared about catching the killers! I thought you were...

[ Psyche clenches her hand into a fist, and bright red lightning lashes out wildly again. At least this one goes wide around Billy, hitting a much more hapless stationary target... ]

[Billy grits his teeth, not entirely able to deny her accusations. Still, of people he wanted involved in this, Psyche was probably towards the bottom.]

Xiao wasn't supposed to be off'd like that. I weren't privy to her powers including not turnin' into a bloody dragon--Jesus fuck--

[Billy ducks at the lightning blast, which happens to hit a go-kart, revving it up and sending it careening past the railway over to Sungem island.]

--that one was a fuckin' fluke! I ain't lookin' to kill ya, Psyche, swear on me mum. Was tryin' to get the drop on someone else if you want the real truth. Catch one of the killers, y'know?

How can you expect me to trust you right now? Am I supposed to be pleased to hear that it was someone else you were looking for? Who... who would have been an acceptable sacrifice, then?!

[ She should run. But she's been running this whole time. Doing nothing this whole time. She's tired of waiting and waiting for a better moment. The least she can do is make sure no one else is hurt. So she straightens and reaches for the lightning again. If she can leave at least a mark for the others to find—

The lightning flickers, a stuttering burst around her, and Psyche gasps and wraps her arms around herself as she folds over. That one didn't seem to hit its intended target at all. For a few moments she stays bent over like that before she slowly lifts her head to glance up at Billy. ]

Well... isn't this familiar.

[ She isn't going to wait to clarify what she means before she draws her sword and lunges for him. ]

Well, ain't really a sacrifice if nobody dies, innit? Just making sure Walt didn't start peltin' meteors at the first person that asks her--

[He stops when Psyche stutters with lighting, ignoring the revving of another gokart that starts speeding off when activated by lightning. If this one works as intended, Psyche won't be a threat, and might be able to talk to him like a civil adult without trying to zap him--

Or she'll try to stab him. Huh, why didn't she do that sooner?

Luckily he still held onto his crowbar, and he's able to use it as an improvised shield. Billy hits the sword swing with an overhead block, aiming for the force to knock the sword out of Psyche's hand. She does manage to get the tip to slash at his face, though, her success indicated by blood dripping from a gash on his cheek.]

Careful, lass. Don't wanna start another trial, do we?

[He's being far more careful about not killing than he would with any other superpowered person. When did Billy Butcher get a bleeding heart, he wonders. He assumes never. It's probably just self-preservation to avoid getting executed.]

[ "Careful," he says? Her sword goes flying, and she shakes the sting from her hand, sizing up her opponent. ]

Unfortunately for you, she never did explain to me how the trials work. But I don't need to understand that to know why I'm here, do I? Did you think you'd found an easy target?

[ Has Billy ever seen Psyche doing her combat training? Even if he has, she's in exceptionally fine form today. She grabs for the arm holding the crowbar and jerks, trying to pull him off-balance enough to get an elbow to the jaw or face.

Never mind the lightning. It's a brawl now! ]

[ Shortly after Xiao is reigned in, a black blur streaks into the go-kart area, and hops up on the building. ]

This is one hell of a party, huh. Havin' fun? I'd say I'm sorry 'bout your ears, but you started it with that pop crap.

Anyway, just figured I'd say hey before you all really went wild. And since it was thrown around, I keep my word to my allies. [ That's directed at Billy with a casual wave.

That's all Shigaraki has to say apparently, though he's not leaving his perch if you want to say anything to him.]

What's all this? Hearing some interesting things here. But for a moment, I thought I was being called for another fight.
