WEEK SIX
WEEK SIX
16 Vacationers
Throughout your time on the island, there's been a steady rhythm; the murders, the trials, the executions, the clean-up afterwards that leave just up remnants for you to remember what was lost. This Monday morning though, things are different. The debris and any biohazards are cleared, but no effort has been made to repair the games at the arcade, or to restock the chemicals and damaged equipment at the laboratory.
Odd.
If you cast your eyes to the sky, you'll also notice that the distortion is also lingering—there's certainly less of it at least, a haze still lingering over the go-karts, one whirlpool lingering out in the sea. It could be worse, surely.
Though there's no new locations for you to take your mind off of all these oddities either. In fact, looking at your device to access the resort map area and scrolling past Kakapo's Nest triggers an error.
There’s one more, slightly more eclectic change: the kittybots, instead of having cute kitty ears and faces, are now without exception round-headed. This would make them look like ordinary robots, but their heads actually now look like a bowl of fish swimming, which occasionally form up into expressions. A change of pace for everything, it seems.

Unfortunately for you, she never did explain to me how the trials work. But I don't need to understand that to know why I'm here, do I? Did you think you'd found an easy target?
[ Has Billy ever seen Psyche doing her combat training? Even if he has, she's in exceptionally fine form today. She grabs for the arm holding the crowbar and jerks, trying to pull him off-balance enough to get an elbow to the jaw or face.
Never mind the lightning. It's a brawl now! ]
7/7 (cw needle mentions)
It's the confusion combined with underestimating just how much strength Psyche is capable of with her short stature that catches him off guard, his crowbar clattering to the ground and shattering an empty syringe. Meanwhile Billy gets a hard elbow to the jaw, bad enough to taste blood in his mouth.]
Fuck--weren't planning on easy, no.
[If he had, he wouldn't have done any of this in the first place.
Billy's been in enough combat situations to handle a flat-out brawl, so he wrenches the arm that Psyche is holding onto in order to turn the tables and drive his elbow into her forearm. It'll hurt, but he's a little past being worried about breaking bones when Psyche is definitely going to be trying to kill him.]

This sure is a scene you'll be walking into, Happy Monday! ]

Ah. Psyche is fighting Billy. That tells him just enough for him to shout out as he runs over to intervene: ]
Medea!
no subject
If you want her to die, then keep distracting me. If not, then get me her sword!
no subject
[ He’s… going to try to find a way to get between them. ]
no subject
[But it's likely she will intervene if called, if only to to do something for the only person she thinks ever really saw her.]

[As if he has a right to complain when he just judo-chopped her elbow.]

Probably aiming for his nose, I'm so sorry to Billy. ]
And what explanation would you like to give for why I've found myself in a body that's clearly been drugged?
[ Honestly, she'd go for the eyes, but something comes over her and she falters for a second. Maybe a good time to grab her. ]

[Like, he doesn't mind intervening, but he wants to know who to go for here!]

[ He’ll let Psyche tell the rest later. Hopefully. ]

Of course she stumbles back out to the go-karts, and even in the darkness that is ever present, lately, the light that is blinding, she sees this very clearly.]
I was hoping I'd see you again!

Ever hate it when you're right? It being an unknown assailant would have been better, especially after everyone's trust being shattered from the last trial. One of their own being the culprit of drugging the others is just the biggest kick to them when they were already down.
Also hey gurl. He wants to let her cook but also doesn't want any more deaths. ]
What do you need?
no subject
Anything sharp.

Temenos arrives on the scene, notably no longer in his usual cleric garb, but he's uh. He'll just be on standby for healing as needed since this is turning into a whole Thing by the time he gets there.]
no subject
he’d throw a joke, but it looks serious. he’ll wait to see if the man can explain himself and/or needs any sort of back up, since everyone’s going to help psyche (or medea?) already. ]
no subject
magolor also makes his way over around when everyone else does, falling out of a starry void in the air but not actually touching down onto the ground. there's already people in the thick of it trying to intervene, so he'll standing by in case they need to be further separated or need anything else from him,
but also, to billy: ]
You know, when you started talking about Waltaquin in the cabana the other day, I got a little worried!
Still, I didn't think you'd actually go and do something like this.
no subject
[His expression shifts to a slightly more subdued coldness at Magolor's statement. He knew this was inevitable, so no point in regretting what people might have thought of him.]
