As much as this vacation was unplanned, hopefully you've found some time to enjoy yourself this weekend as you've settled in. The idyllic beach, all inclusive food, drink, and shopping might be almost enough to distract you from that pesky talk of sacrifice. Vacations really are about letting your worries pass you by. Hopefully you've found the time to set up your U-PINION too, because if you haven't, it's been chirping incessantly since the date turned to Monday. And come Monday at noon, everyone's device will let out a pleasant jingle, heralding several announcements across the screen:

Happy Monday! We've hope you've been enjoying your time at Sungem's Peak. The Mermer (intranet) is now fully operational. Chat with your friends and get recommendations for how to best enjoy your vacation, by:

• Reading about your fellow vacationers via their profile
• Chatting on the network
• Asking honest questions via our anonymous poll system
• REQUIRED: Reading the RULES set by the administrators

We're also happy to announce our reward system is live! Complete tasks to receive special items to improve your stay!!! Contact your administrators for any questions or concerns. We hope you have a wonderful week!

The artificial peppiness of the announcement just oozes out from the U-PINION, and soon thereafter everyone will be accosted by a friendly robot that forces a physical copy of the rules into their hands anyway. Just in case. They'll also present a copy of the tasks this week as well, for any interested parties.

[Billy decides to put his mock squabble with Mr. Pink on hold once Lacus has poured him a cup of tea. He takes it, and hey, it's damn good tea, how about that!]

[ Mr. Pink does quiet down as soon as Lacus pokes him a little. His earflaps are fluttering open and closed as he rocks in place, contented for now. ]

Hmmh... yes and no? Haros like him were developed by my former fiancé, so I'm basically the only person owning them. But generally, mini robots are fairly common! In my household, we also have a dog-like robot named Okapi who helps carry things from room to room, for example.

Former fiance, huh...You get Pink in the pre-nup? [He sounds slightly perturbed, given she does not look old enough to be engaged, let alone formerly engaged.

Still, the mental image of a little dog carrying things gets a chuckle out of him.]

Hmhm...you could train a real dog t'do that too. Not that mine would, he's gotten to be a bit of a skiver in his old age.

Okapi can carry whole tea-sets with tea! I think if a real dog did this, I'd be very impressed... though it would also be quite adorable.

[ But both the joke and his face make her laugh softly. It just reminds her that circumstances surrounding relationships can be rather different in other places. ]

Athrun and I are still good friends - I doubt he'd ask for his gifts back, under these circumstances.

[Billy tries to picture his own bulldog carrying a tea set.] Maybe one of those labradors could manage--Terror's a bit round for the job, you'd have to kiss the whole service goodbye. [The mental image does bring a smirk to his face.] Loyalest mate I've ever had though, haven't needed a leash for him since he was a pup.

Guess y'both decided to break it off, then?
