As much as this vacation was unplanned, hopefully you've found some time to enjoy yourself this weekend as you've settled in. The idyllic beach, all inclusive food, drink, and shopping might be almost enough to distract you from that pesky talk of sacrifice. Vacations really are about letting your worries pass you by. Hopefully you've found the time to set up your U-PINION too, because if you haven't, it's been chirping incessantly since the date turned to Monday. And come Monday at noon, everyone's device will let out a pleasant jingle, heralding several announcements across the screen:

Happy Monday! We've hope you've been enjoying your time at Sungem's Peak. The Mermer (intranet) is now fully operational. Chat with your friends and get recommendations for how to best enjoy your vacation, by:

• Reading about your fellow vacationers via their profile
• Chatting on the network
• Asking honest questions via our anonymous poll system
• REQUIRED: Reading the RULES set by the administrators

We're also happy to announce our reward system is live! Complete tasks to receive special items to improve your stay!!! Contact your administrators for any questions or concerns. We hope you have a wonderful week!

The artificial peppiness of the announcement just oozes out from the U-PINION, and soon thereafter everyone will be accosted by a friendly robot that forces a physical copy of the rules into their hands anyway. Just in case. They'll also present a copy of the tasks this week as well, for any interested parties.

Yes, mine was as well. It isn't especially privileged knowledge on my side-- many people who come to me for help would know most of it, and could potentially guess the rest. Is that not the case with yourself?

I don't know what could be guessed or not. But none of them are things I would claim to be wrong, or would try to hide.

That would have to be pretty omnipotent levels of surveillance, wouldn't it?

Perhaps yes... But consider for a moment that we all were whisked here without notice, and the collection of abilities we all have here, assuming that the list is entirely accurate. Whoever brought us here also having some ability to either hide their presence, travel or teleport swiftly, change their form... No one being short of a God would likely have all of those, but any singular one could help gather information on someone.

They'd have to be undetectable by other gods as well. If anything like that had showed up at home, just existing might cause a war.

It's just hard to think about it being intentional. Didn't one of our administrators say the system pulled in normal people by accident? Why would it do that if they were being watched like the rest of us?

I cannot speak to what your gods, or any others, might have done if an unfamiliar one “visited” as it were. I know the gods of Teyvat are well known to have warred in the past, but they are not as all powerful as some believe. [Very pointedly, he lays a hand across the snake on his shoulder’s head.]

Those of us with Visions were also once powerless. It’s not too strange to me that exceptional individuals even without abilities might have met some undisclosed criteria for being invited.

Mine certainly isn't any secret to anyone from Demon Card, and I've used my Dark Bring in front of enough people that it's not impossible to believe that someone could have witnessed it in action.

Except for the part where most people don't come out of it alive.
