As much as this vacation was unplanned, hopefully you've found some time to enjoy yourself this weekend as you've settled in. The idyllic beach, all inclusive food, drink, and shopping might be almost enough to distract you from that pesky talk of sacrifice. Vacations really are about letting your worries pass you by. Hopefully you've found the time to set up your U-PINION too, because if you haven't, it's been chirping incessantly since the date turned to Monday. And come Monday at noon, everyone's device will let out a pleasant jingle, heralding several announcements across the screen:

Happy Monday! We've hope you've been enjoying your time at Sungem's Peak. The Mermer (intranet) is now fully operational. Chat with your friends and get recommendations for how to best enjoy your vacation, by:

• Reading about your fellow vacationers via their profile
• Chatting on the network
• Asking honest questions via our anonymous poll system
• REQUIRED: Reading the RULES set by the administrators

We're also happy to announce our reward system is live! Complete tasks to receive special items to improve your stay!!! Contact your administrators for any questions or concerns. We hope you have a wonderful week!

The artificial peppiness of the announcement just oozes out from the U-PINION, and soon thereafter everyone will be accosted by a friendly robot that forces a physical copy of the rules into their hands anyway. Just in case. They'll also present a copy of the tasks this week as well, for any interested parties.

[Skywarp breaks into laughter, and wipes a not-tear from his optics.]

[Where Vergilius is looking stern, Skywarp is clearly enjoying himself.]

I’ve decided to move The City to the top of my destination list. I’m eager to see what fun we can get up to.

Where do you even come from in the first place?

A dear planet called Cybertron. We didn’t part on the best terms, but I find myself missing it all the same.

Call me curious. Why was it not the best terms?

[He makes a grand sweep of his arm.]

Decisions were made. I was wholly unappreciated. Public opinion wanted me gone, so I left.

I would have to agree with public opinion.

[He laughs a little.]

You can’t mean that, Vergilius. We’ve only just met each other.

[He flaps a hand, playfully dismissive.]

We’ll have plenty of time to spend with each other. Soon enough you’ll all accept me into your hearts.

Leaving aside being the blueprint for a clone army -

I've spent a long time thinking. And I've come to a conclusion. I'm a cut above the rest, and the world can stand to benefit from my perspective.

[The irritation doesn’t faze him - probably because he’s quite used to it - but he does find it interesting. A note for later, perhaps.]

Like me? No, I can’t be replicated. Not all the way. But they will like me, in time.

If I wasn’t suited to be leader, why else would Shockwave choose me?

[It’s a rhetorical question, mostly. He’s aware Vergilius has no idea who that is.]
