As much as this vacation was unplanned, hopefully you've found some time to enjoy yourself this weekend as you've settled in. The idyllic beach, all inclusive food, drink, and shopping might be almost enough to distract you from that pesky talk of sacrifice. Vacations really are about letting your worries pass you by. Hopefully you've found the time to set up your U-PINION too, because if you haven't, it's been chirping incessantly since the date turned to Monday. And come Monday at noon, everyone's device will let out a pleasant jingle, heralding several announcements across the screen:

Happy Monday! We've hope you've been enjoying your time at Sungem's Peak. The Mermer (intranet) is now fully operational. Chat with your friends and get recommendations for how to best enjoy your vacation, by:

• Reading about your fellow vacationers via their profile
• Chatting on the network
• Asking honest questions via our anonymous poll system
• REQUIRED: Reading the RULES set by the administrators

The artificial peppiness of the announcement just oozes out from the U-PINION, and soon thereafter everyone will be accosted by a friendly robot that forces a physical copy of the rules into their hands anyway. Just in case. They'll also present a copy of the tasks this week as well, for any interested parties.

I can assure you I'm no slouch in a fight, but if I demonstrated my skills on you, you might not be free to belt out such belle musique anymore. That's why you should allow me to aid you in your times of need.

Oh dear... I really do hate explaining these things.

[Trying to explain how magic works is difficult even with someone who can use magic, so explaining to Haruka would be pointless. Instead, Lobelia demonstrates, snapping his fingers. Nearby, several coconuts high up in a tree explode and splatter all over the sand and surf below.]

Voilà! Did you see it? The way the noix de coco exploded with such a glorious sound?! Ahh! Très bien! That is the power of audiomancy!

He jumps when the coconuts explode, not expecting that from Lobelia. Maybe he should have been, because he knows that sound waves can do things like shatter glass… but experiencing it for himself?

[What a delightful response! Lobelia was hoping Haruka might scream or cry, but he'll make do with the look of shock on his face. Maybe next time, he'll shatter a coconut directly over his head...]

Oui, but not only this! Audiomancy has many practical applications! Ah... You're a man of classe and taste, Haruka. I can tell you're impressed!

[It’s not hard to make Haruka cry, but Lobelia will have to start digging his nails into his many, many insecurities and traumas instead of just being mad horny all the time.
