As much as this vacation was unplanned, hopefully you've found some time to enjoy yourself this weekend as you've settled in. The idyllic beach, all inclusive food, drink, and shopping might be almost enough to distract you from that pesky talk of sacrifice. Vacations really are about letting your worries pass you by. Hopefully you've found the time to set up your U-PINION too, because if you haven't, it's been chirping incessantly since the date turned to Monday. And come Monday at noon, everyone's device will let out a pleasant jingle, heralding several announcements across the screen:

Happy Monday! We've hope you've been enjoying your time at Sungem's Peak. The Mermer (intranet) is now fully operational. Chat with your friends and get recommendations for how to best enjoy your vacation, by:

• Reading about your fellow vacationers via their profile
• Chatting on the network
• Asking honest questions via our anonymous poll system
• REQUIRED: Reading the RULES set by the administrators

The artificial peppiness of the announcement just oozes out from the U-PINION, and soon thereafter everyone will be accosted by a friendly robot that forces a physical copy of the rules into their hands anyway. Just in case. They'll also present a copy of the tasks this week as well, for any interested parties.

I like when they go to coffee shops. The pastries always look good on TV.

They did look pretty good. I used to think about sharing a parfait with someone.

What kind? I always liked the Ultra Monster Parfaits, but there's a Devil Carrot Curry one that's pretty good, too.

Ultra Monster Parfaits? [ Devil Carrot Curry??? ] A chocolate one is what you usually see in shops.

Mn. Chocolate's good. Ultra Monsters take an entire table of people to eat and have a ton of layers. I don't mind, though. I can polish off a few by myself.

[Mmm, parfaits. Reminder to himself to go raid the desserts at the buffet.]

Why can't you eat them now, though? Is something stopping you?

Where does all of that food goes? [ Poke poke at Beel's stomach. ] It doesn't look like it fills you up.

I have my image to keep up. A guy like me eating one on his own would be a little sad.

...It goes to my stomach. [Said as his brows tighten a bit at the poking. Where else would it go, man?]

I exercise a lot. It's a hobby. I guess it helps a little.

Why would it be sad to eat by yourself? If it tastes good, does it matter?

Yeah, but look! It looks completely flat there. [ He'll stop the poking just to indicate his stomach. None sauce. Left All Beef. ] Exercise does help. Have you hit up the gym here?

[ Also wow. It must be nice not having a worry about appearances ]

How it must be to be that old and still in your youth.

[Stop poking his abs, wow.]

Mm. Every day, at least once or twice, I do muscle training and lift weights. I also run first thing in the morning and do sprints out on the beach in the afternoon. Just because I'm not at home doesn't mean I need to stop my routine.

What do you mean? You don't look very old for a human.

[ Look abs are meant to be touched. But okay he'll stop! ]

That's pretty impressive. [ No wonder he gets hangry ]
