ENDGAME
FINAL TRIAL
"ENJOY THE REST OF YOUR STAY!!! :-)"
That's a message from Chirpy, as that group leaves the records room. Though really, there's not much time left; a fact impressed upon you regardless of whether you had a overly helpful bumbling robot or not.
Take some time to discuss what you've found and equip your new found loot in the open research lab. It's not a bad place for an impromptu meeting considering it's size.
Though sooner, rather than later, you'll need to head deeper still, to meet your two administrators, who surely know you're coming by now. (( OOC: Welcome to Endgame! This is for all the bananas, so good luck! We'll give you 1 hour OOC to discuss your invest findings, and then it's onto the final confrontation. ))

Temenos doesn't even have time to properly react to what's just happened to him before he instantly drops to the ground where he stands. The voltage has run its course, stopping his heart.
Temenos is dead.]

Temenos...!!

...do you wanna die here or not? Overhaul can do this all day if you just let him.
[ This isn't for Lacus only mind, he just trusts Lacus to listen to him and to relay this to the others. ]

And the whole world around her seems a little slower, a little sharper. ]
I hear you.
[ And then, with a glance at Temenos' dead body, she decides to pull out all the stops. What was it Zelkov said? ]
Miss Corrin... please, I beg of you! Emblem! Engage!

It's an odd feeling, but she doesn't have time to think about odd feelings right now. What matters is that she has a Dreadful Aura now, which should slow down the bots in her immediate vicinity and allow her to rush through and towards the spike forest in the direction of Overhaul's dome.
She'll shout at the people nearby: ]
If we don't take Overhaul out, this is never going to end!!

a magic circle carves its way open. magolor's summoning that sword of his, but unlike previous occasions where he grabbed it by the hilt to demonstrate 'see? perfectly normal sword!'
this time the blade that rises from the circle is markedly larger, and suspended in the air only by his magic. sure, it might not be building leveling big, but we don't need to do that (and probably shouldn't since we're underwater)— it just needs to try to carve a pathway clear of as much of overhaul's walls and obstacles as possible. ]

There's movement from within the dome, for anyone watching very closely, just as things are charging up, magical circles are happening, and something about the dome changes just before the hit -- there's a blinding blast of light, then another as both attacks go in.
Once the smoke clears, Lacus is free to dash through the cleared space -- it looks like the dome itself has been bisected by all the commotion -- the couch is definitely not intact, everything is smoking at least a little. But behind the dome is a wall of half-melted metal, followed by what look like a few more walls fading into shadow behind, each successively smaller but less damaged.
There's what sounds like a clapping noise, echoing from the back of the cargo bay.]
And here I thought you'd forgotten what you were trying to fight, exactly.
Torrential Roar use here, we are now fresh out of it
And then there's walls, but there is also intuitive knowledge within her - a whisper from that mysterious Corrin, she'd like to think.
There is something she can do to clear the path.
She just needs to let it happen.
Instinct. Following instinct only. ]
Torrential Roar!!
[ A wording she's known from Zelkov's profile, which never meant anything to her - now sending a water blast cutting through the walls. If all goes right, anyway.
The moment after she sends that one off, she'll summon the Wakizashi. ]
caliburn use
1/2
There's definitely a tsk in there somewhere, lost in the roar of water and metal slamming into each other.
The next attack from Caliburn opens a bigger hole in the already half-melted walls; Magolor's sword is no joke, and everything is already brittle in a tide of cold water and hot sword beams. There's a muffled series of explosive sounds -- sounds like that one may have hit the back of the cargo bay, or possibly some things along the way.
All's quiet on the bird front...]

Flowery Necklace: FUCKING BREAKS NEXT TAG
But instincts are one thing, actual training and routine in movement is another. Lacus doesn't have that. She tumbles.
And winds up skewered through the collar area.
This isn't good. ]

there's an opening and he takes it when the dome cleaves itself into two from the sword attacks, firing off a decently powered beam from above, one that's probably not enough to one-hit KO overhaul but enough to do a decent amount of damage.
it takes a moment to charge up his attack though, and since joshua is levitating, it's... not great. the spikes hone in on him, and it takes one to knock him off balance, and he doesn't see the second one coming--
it goes straight through his shoulder, and this is what happens when you're a squishy mage, because that? is enough to send him crashing to the ground instead, with a bleeding shoulder that's completely out of commission. ]

...Uh.
[Bruh.]
Hey, Magolor-san, do you know anything about defibrillation or CPR?
[Or like. Anyone.]

I mean if you want me to try zapping him I can give it a go but I feel like I should repeat: I really, really am not human, or anything close to it!

[this is fine]

[Holy shit, Temenos is fucking dead. Billy looks over at the fresh corpse, then back at Magolor.]
You got anythin' in that arsenal that can zap him? We gotta get his heart fucking jumpin again!
no subject
I really don't think I can manage anything that delicate right now! Best I can promise is him getting caught up in the area of effect of anything else I might do, but I'm kind of avoiding electric for a reason!
[ there are so many conductive things around here, including people's swords and crowbars, hello??? ]
Mods! Sword beams!
[Billy looks at the offending motherfucking fishbot, and remembers something this sword can apparently do. Time to start giving them hell.
He's going to try and use the apparent shockwaves this sword has to attack the fishbot that just off'd Temenos.]
no subject
That is to say, the fishbot still locked with Temenos' staff takes the full brunt of the sword shockwaves -- it's a good opening, and it slams the bot against the nearest metallic spike, leaving it a wreck.]

Someone has been certainly watching this going down as well.
Around the time anyone attempts to save the Priest, or something, whatever works, and it doesn't end up going through, the scent of flowers goes through...and his body disappears from sight. ]
