21 Vacationers

The weekend sure was something, wasn't it? Tempers flared, explosions burst, and some were treated to an immersive sand bath experience. Come Monday at least, things seem quieter though not in the unnatural still way—the distortions on the islands have receded sometime in the night (with some impressive firework-like booms that may have stirred your sleep, at that; and the waves seem a little higher this morning) and the various amenities on the island have been made orderly again. Though, as always, some traces remain in the landscape; the waterfall looks like it has seen better days, though it's no longer in danger of coughing up debris on your head if looked at wrong.

This week like the rest brings new locations for you to explore, on Kakapo's Nest though it seems like only one of them really fits the vacation vibe. Hope you like snow!

[ Hi here’s here now and interrupting whatever is going on as he leans down to tug on Wang Lu’s collar hard enough to bring him close and crush their lips together. Is that good enough for kissing it better?

It's just his arm and his energy. His expression softens at the sight of her. ]

Hello beautiful. I won't be coughing up any blood any time soon. [ He will open his mouth so she can inspect for blood if she wishes ] It's already healing on it's own and will be fine after some rest. [ She can heal some burns from Walt ]

[ He's going to say something, but he's interrupted by a kiss. Dropping his u-pinion to grab on to the other to hold him there for a bit longer. It's good enough that he's forgetting everything for a moment. ]

Sling? [ Oh yeah, he was bringing that. ] That would be helpful. [ To keep it from healing weird ]

[ He pulls a shirt he hastily cut up into a square cloth from his robes and starts working on tying it onto Wang Lu. At least he knows what he’s doing here. ]

Did you let yourself get healed?

[ His luck. ] You would be the first. [ Why can't his Master being like this? ]

[ Why is this such a recurring problem... Psyche sighs heavily and turns her focus to Waltaquin for the moment, although she's perfectly capable of aoe heal. Not that it does much here. ]

I can try to help, but we'll still need to make sure we have all the fabric out...

[ Normally she'd reach for his hand on reflex, but she pulls her hand back this time before she jolts anything painful and just gives him a wry smile. ]

As long as it's not going to hurt you, there's no reason I can't give it a little push. I did want to make sure my healing worked on you, but this really isn't what I had in mind.

[ He'll offer his fee hand as he ponders it for a moment. He knows he can take energy in but he hasn't tried any healing. ]

[ While Wei Wuxian is getting to work, he will take advantage of their proximity by playing with one of his rabbit ears ]

It's usually for the best to let it heal on it's own, but I did let Psyche give it a jump start.

[ She reaches over to take his hand, because after Wei Wuxian this is actually a little scary. But she wills her power awake into a very mild aura of pain reduction and healing on that arm.

[She'd much rather be able to throw a soothing conjuration on it and have it done with. Flexing her fingers with a slight cringe, Waltaquin shrugs.]

What good fortune that we were granted access to an infirmary recently. It shouldn't be too much of an issue.

How long will it take to heal?

[ He carefully ties the sling and… he should be good to go now. ]

[ He gives her hand a squeeze, while he closes his eyes. Good news, he isn't coughing up blood or reacting in the same way as their troublemaker. It seems to have an effect, but it is also making him even more tired afterwards. ]

It might be best if we find some where more comfortable if you want to try again. [ In case he clonks out ]

[ Wang Lu couldn't prepare for the meeting properly and the reason is his left arm being in a sling. Hello. ]

[ Once she's sure she's given Wang Lu his little boost there! That one is easier. ]

She nods and leans in to kiss his cheek, giving his hand another squeeze back. ]

I'm going to make sure Waltaquin's burns are cleaned up, and then we can take this back to the cabana?

[Waltaquin still looks a little worked over but is otherwise her usual self as she shares the lowdown.]

Our opponent yesterday was nothing, I believe, like the beast encountered at the waterfall. It was Xiao, the woman who wielded fire. We came upon her in a transformed state, ransacking the planetarium. She was like a dragon. [Quin pauses for an appreciative little chuckle... in all honesty Xiao's true form had been quite striking.] I suspect the power she displayed was more in line with what she possessed before arriving on these islands, if not more so.

When she died, she returned to how she had been. Based on a small bruise located on her arm, likely she was drugged. She had bled considerably from the nose and mouth, and acting on my suspicions I checked inside.

Her tongue was blackened.

[ Psyche honey come over here. Placing his good hand on Wei Wuxian's shoulder. Where to even start? ]

It happened to Lady Xiao as well, but we didn't realize it was her. [ He's going to glance over to the Planetarium before looking away. ] There was a dragon looking for something in there. Once she realized she had company, she went on a rampage. We got Haruka out of there and defeated her. She changed back into Xiao and there was blood on her nose and mouth. Her tongue was also black.

[ He didn't get to see the puncture wound, but Walt will handle that info tomorrow ]

[Adding in to Waltaquin's commentary, because haha this is bad.]

I saw Xiao-san [apparently] at the planetarium with everyone, but I saw a trail leading to the snow room. It looked like it had been wrecked a bit, probably by Xiao-san... being a dragon and everything.

There were two sets of footprints in the snow, and they both looked like they belonged to people taller then me? I think one might have been Xiao-san's, because it looked about right, and the other was even bigger.

[He scratches his cheek.]

But I think the most important thing we found was a used syringe. It was totally empty, so I don't know what was in it, but it didn't look like any that I saw before at the lab or anywhere else. [It was a very nice syringe, apparently.] It was labeled, though, with that word "KRATOS" again. I don't... want to jump to conclusions, but...

[It does seem like someone got jabbed and things didn't go well!!]
