TRIAL

You all know the drill by now even if things are a little different today, with the two deceased and the shuffling of the announcements. Things are much the same at the sandbar though, kittybots setting out seafood as the theme for this week, along with every flavor of mountain dew under the sun, including the energy drink kind. (food mod note: this is actually on brand MTN dew for once!).

Off to the side in a booth of their own are the bodies as well as attendant kittybots; simply request which body you'd like to look at and the kitty bots will direct you appropriately, as if it's difficult to tell the difference between a squid and a giant robot. Maybe they're just there trying to be helpful, they're doing their best. .

(( OOC: Welcome to your third trial! You'll have 7 hours (8PM EST/5PM PST) to vote one (1) person guilty of murder. Since this is scapegoat style, finding the correct killer is not mandatory!

They're all broken up! But Kanon's pretty sure all the missing bottles are in here. Kanon's looked at the drinks in the bar many times now, so she still remembers them!

You fill a bottle with highly flammable liquid and have a rag sticking out of the hole. You light up the rag and throw it.

Any glass bottle so they break upon impact. You would want one with a long enough neck to keep it from going off in your hands.

That's about what those ingredients sound like. But did it look like anythin' got lit up 'round the crime scenes?

The stick I found floating in the ocean near Kallamar's corpse was scorched on one end. It could have been caught in the blaze.

There were scorch marks at the beach and at the waterfall. ... That could mean that these two murders were connected, though it is too early to say for sure.

There wasn't any glass at the waterfall. I checked really hard.

If those bottle bombs mean the bottle needs to break, I don't know if that's what caused it there.

If he happened to use his laser rifles during the fight, perhaps that would explain that particular set of scorch marks.

Hmm. We can't rule it out, if nothing else.

But I don't think the bottles would be easy to break on sand. You'd have to be throwing them against something more solid than that.

Kallamar’s body smelled of strong alcohol, and he also was clutching glass shards. Could he have been the one making these?

Then the question would be what for. They're not the most efficient method of defense.

Maybe it's all he could think of? He always seemed a little nervous, and I don't think he had many other powers... if he realized he was awake at that time, he might have wanted anything he could use?

That's my thought as well. Perhaps he planned to use them as some sort of ambush attack?

Makes me wonder if he wasn't the one who initially planned to kill, only to have the tables turned on him.
