What started with a week promising relaxation turned into something else entirely. It might be nice to try to grab a quiet moment after the whirlwind of the weekend, but there's something to be said about keeping up the momentum too.The island open to you this week, Dodo's Outlook, seems to have that in mind, or at the very least, keeping your mind occupied. All damage to the island buildings has been fixed by Monday morning at least, but noticeably there are less palm trees than before where the damage was the heaviest. Explorers too will find that the area behind the waterfall has been completely sealed off with solid rock.

Whether you're the type to commune with the nature of marine life in the aquarium, the cosmos in the planetarium, or to spin your own tale in the theater, there's plenty to do and enjoy. As always there's task to complete too, and after all you've been through by now, what's a little more bonding in the pursuit of prizes?

[ He nods quickly, but he coughs a few more times before he can finally get out an answer. There seems to be a small amount of blood on the palm of his hand, but he quickly tries to hide it from Xiao. ]

I'm alright. Thanks, Xiao.

[plunges]

No. No, you aren't. We need a medic.

[ He puts a hand on Wei Wuxian's back. ]

Come. We will find one of the others.

[diabolizes]

[ He shakes his head, laughing lightly. Thankfully, it doesn't send him into another round of coughs. ]

I'm fine, really. I think it's simply my being rusty with my powers.

[plunges]

...

[ Hm. ]

As long as you are alright. ... It's troubling, that there were so many skeletons hidden beneath us.

[ He's going to keep an eye on Wei Wuxian, though. He doesn't trust that he's not trying to hide any pain he's experiencing. ]

[diabolizes]

I expect as much... but I wonder why I could summon them now.

[ He's about to say more and even considers telling Xiao to stay away so his resentful energy and Xiao's Karma don't mix, but then he's doubled over again and it's impossible to hide the amount blood that lands in his palm. ]

...

[plunges]

[ !! ]

Wei Wuxian!

[ Alright, that's it, he's going to pull out his U-pinion. Panic starts to settle in his chest, but he remains calm nevertheless. ]

I will send out a call for a healer. Stay put.

[ ... ]

Don't go anywhere. Please.

[ And everyone will get a message from Xiao on the network: ]

[ Wow Xiao don't phrase that specifically alarmingly... Psyche can't teleport, but you wouldn't know it from the speed of her arrival. Still visibly out of breath, ]

What happened?!

[diabolizes]

Psyche...

[ Don't worry, he's fine! Just surrounded by skeletons and sitting on the ground.

...And coughing too, so much so that he hacks up even more blood. ]

I'm fine. Don't worry.

[chrysaline]

[ Unless the skeletons need healing, this ain't about them.

She rushes over to him, stepping around skeletons as needed, and sinks down beside him to reach over and put a hand on his chest. ]

Don't lie to me. And don't talk for a moment.

[diabolizes]

[ ...Well then. That at least gets him to shut up, and now that she's closer she can see that his tongue has turned black.

Hm.

He'll wait for her to heal him, sitting as still as he can and suppressing any coughs that try to surface. ]

[chrysaline]

[ The last time Psyche worked on internal injuries it did not go well. She gives him one more speaking look before she closes her eyes tightly and focuses as the golden energy gathers around her fingertips.

Normally, she'd at least be able to dull the pain of something as she heals... how resistant is whatever he did to himself going to be? ]

[dupiety]

[Here's a healer responding. It's Temenos.]

Oh dear. I'll be there momentarily.

[Thankfully he wasn't too far away, just over at the book café. He comes running over with his staff at the ready...and sees the dropped skeletons...]

What's going on?

[diabolizes]

My cultivation decided that it finally wanted to work.

[ Also, he's coughing up a storm, blood spilling into his palm, which he fails to hide this time. ]

[dupiety]

I would say this is quite the time to finally learn about this cultivation of yours, but I think it best for you to stop talking and let us work.

[Coughing up blood is Bad, after all.

Anyway, he gives Psyche plenty of room to use her healing while he chants a prayer of his own. As he holds a palm near Wei Wuxian, a warm light begins to glow from it.

The question is: will it have an effect?]

[diabolizes]

[ Wow, everyone telling him to shut up... he'll remember this! Probably.

But when Psyche heals him, it seems to make minimal impact, and he devolves into another coughing fit, blood landing on the ground next to him as he turns his head away from her.

That second attempt, seems to have the same amount of impact at first, but then blood starts to drip from Wei Wuxian's nose and down his chin. ]

[chrysaline]

[ Oh, that's not how it's supposed to work... Psyche jerks her hands back, digging her nails into her palms as she curls them into fists. ]

Temenos, what's happening?!

[ Wei Wuxian may still be on talking ban, she hasn't decided yet. ]

I saw Temenos respond. What’s the situation looking like?

[plunges]

Not good

[dakicover]

On my way.

What’s worked and what hasn’t? Is he poisoned?

It's getting worse
I believe he tried out his abilities and is facing consequences as a result, but I cannot be sure

[ god he wishes he had touch-scan magic sometimes. but after a minute he’s there to look over at wwx. ]

I’m here. Let me try.

[She drifts over eventually, not because she's a healer but because wwx is one of the few like valid people still around and also wtf.]

What the heck?

[diabolizes]

[ He gives her a little wave from his spot on the ground and his head in Crea's lap. ]

Good to see you, Kanon.

Umm, what's going on?

I’m feeling rather ill.

[ He looks it too—pale and clammy, with dried blood under his nose. ]
