What started with a week promising relaxation turned into something else entirely. It might be nice to try to grab a quiet moment after the whirlwind of the weekend, but there's something to be said about keeping up the momentum too.The island open to you this week, Dodo's Outlook, seems to have that in mind, or at the very least, keeping your mind occupied. All damage to the island buildings has been fixed by Monday morning at least, but noticeably there are less palm trees than before where the damage was the heaviest. Explorers too will find that the area behind the waterfall has been completely sealed off with solid rock.

Whether you're the type to commune with the nature of marine life in the aquarium, the cosmos in the planetarium, or to spin your own tale in the theater, there's plenty to do and enjoy. As always there's task to complete too, and after all you've been through by now, what's a little more bonding in the pursuit of prizes?

1 - book café

[Sometime early Wednesday morning, Temenos can be found in the book café with a coffee in front of him as he pages through what appears to be a cookbook.

He's also wearing a rather conspicuous accessory today: some snazzy glasses. Who would have guessed that he needs reading glasses? Or does he?]

2 - theater

[While Temenos is no stranger to theater performances, motion pictures are an entirely different beast.

Arms crossed and a hand at his chin, he studies the movie schedule intense scrutiny. If anyone else is checking out the selection, he'll turn and say:]

I must say, I am morbidly curious to see one of these crime thrillers. I would like to know what sort of tale can be woven in a format like this.

Would you care to join me? A performance is better with company.

3 - ballroom

[Once the movie's out, he wanders back to the ballroom to play a few tunes on the piano again. He'd performed for Wang Lu a few days ago, and interestingly enough it's awoken a bit of an itch for more. It's not like he's been able to pursue his other minor hobbies here.

With the lights dimmed low, he sits down to play a gentle tune...]

4 - planetarium

[After night falls, Temenos spends some time up in the second floor of the planetarium, viewing the stars through the open dome, as well as the telescope. If anyone has come to join him, he comments:]

Two of my traveling companions recently aided a scholar with the invention of the astronomical telescope, though it was much smaller than this one. To think that they could one day end up this large and powerful... Heh. I am sure Osvald and Partitio would have loved to see this.

[He laughs and makes a point of adjusting the glasses.]

I wouldn't say I am into it, but I thought I could use a change of pace.

[ He just helps himself to plopping down next to him and reaching for those glasses. Will he let him take them? ]

You've been holding out on me.

[Yes, he can just take them right off. Temenos isn't going to be blind without them.]

Oh? How so? Do they enhance my looks?

[chosenwang]

[ He's going to put them on and wiggle his brows at his roomie. ]

You do look quite distinguished with them on. Might turn me into someone who is into glasses.

Ah, then I suppose I had better keep them off. We wouldn't want to cause more undue confusion.

[Temenos studies him, eyebrow wiggle and all.]

Hm. They don't suit you nearly as much.

[chosenwang]

While I do believe your demon is open minded, I wouldn't want to risk anyone else questioning your loyalties.

[ Will he ever stop causing the confusion? Probably not. He will give a mock surprised look. ]

Really? I thought I'd look rather dashing. [ He will take them off and fold them carefully next to the book. ]

[dupiety]

[He laughs, clearly fond to have their little talk with Beelzebub referenced.]

"My demon." [He repeats.] He is hardly my property.

[Even if it does have a quite a ring to it...

Anyway, he fishes his U-pinion out of his robes.]

Wait. Put them back on. You ought to at least get a look for yourself, hm? I am hardly the be all, end all of judgment...in this case.

[Holy matters, yes. Megane aesthetics, no.]

Not property, but maybe partner?

[ Give him deets honey.

Grinning at that as he grabs the glasses again and puts them on. He will even pose to camera like he's done selfies before. ]

Ready when you are.

ballroom

[ The stage theater and ballroom have pretty quickly become some of Lacus' favourite haunts. She may be a girl who wants to keep moving forward, but there is a side of nostalgia to her that she can never shake. These spots satisfy it.

So when Temenos is playing, she just sneaks into the ballroom to sit in a corner and listen until the end.

When he's done, she claps gently. ]

Would it be too much to ask for an encore?

[He's smiling to himself with his eyes closed as he ends the song, so hearing some clapping coming out of nowhere is quite the surprise. He glances over...]

Heh. It seems I garnered an audience somewhere along the way. Thank you for listening, Lacus.

[With that, he nods and offers her another tune. It's somber, but hopeful.]

[ Such gentle music... Lacus closes her eyes this time, sitting perfectly still as she lets the music envelop her. There's a second of silence after Temenos finishes, before she gets up to actually walk over. ]

These tunes are beautiful. Do you play for audiences, at home?

[dupiety]

[Done playing for the time being, Temenos folds his hands neatly in his lap when he turns to face Lacus.]

For services sometimes, yes. But it has been quite a while since I last did that.

[idologue]

I see. From your profile, your current work does seem a lot more... involved than giving sermon to a local community.

[ Which is a pity, she thinks. She'd have liked attending service if he felt like giving it. ]

Haha. Goodness, I cannot even imagine giving a sermon now.

[He is so ungodly cynical. It would be bad.]

Even before I was preoccupied with my duties as inquisitor, I was more likely to put on paper plays for the children in order to teach them the Order's history.

Oh, that sounds lovely! The little ones do have such trouble staying engaged with mere speeches, too.

[ Paper plays... Somehow it's hard to imagine Temenos doing that. She's really only seen him in strange contexts, huh? ]

When I get home, I should suggest this to Reverend Malchio. He tries so hard to get them to memorize religious stories and his success is mixed.

Ballroom

[Shuda hadn't been meaning to eavesdrop, really. He'd been out on a quasi patrol, as has been his wont ever since the events of Sunday, but when he hears the quiet music issuing from the ballroom, he can't help but slip in to listen like a silent shadow lurking near the door.

He waits until Temenos has finished playing to announce his presence.]

Not bad at all. Got something with a little more rhythm to it?

[Wow, Shuda. That's not creepy at all!!

Temenos looks up from the piano to smile at Shuda across the room.]

Oh? Are you looking for an excuse to dance now that you are free of pain?

[dancing_flames]

['Tall, dark, and ominous' is his middle name--

But he smirks, amused.]

Maybe. I got cheated out of the chance back at home, so I might as well make up for it while I'm here.

[dupiety]

[His smile softens at that.]

Well, if you truly do wish for a dance, then I would be happy to oblige. Unfortunately, it will have to be solo on your part.

[That last part is mostly him joking again. He's just curious to see what Shuda's reaction to having him as a potential dance partner would be.]

Too bad. We already know I'm capable of lifting you.

[Apparently his reaction will be to tease right back! For all that he's fairly straight-laced most of the time, there is in fact a gremlin streak hiding underneath that lineface.]

But that would leave no one playing the music, so I'd have to decline anyway on general principle.

[Honestly, Temenos is here for Shuda getting in on the jokes.

He holds a hand to his chest.]

Oh my... That we do. It would be a heart-pounding duet, I am sure.

[Maybe there is hope for them yet, at the party.]
