WEEK 4

WEEK FOUR
24 Vacationers

What started with a week promising relaxation turned into something else entirely. It might be nice to try to grab a quiet moment after the whirlwind of the weekend, but there's something to be said about keeping up the momentum too.The island open to you this week, Dodo's Outlook, seems to have that in mind, or at the very least, keeping your mind occupied. All damage to the island buildings has been fixed by Monday morning at least, but noticeably there are less palm trees than before where the damage was the heaviest. Explorers too will find that the area behind the waterfall has been completely sealed off with solid rock.

Whether you're the type to commune with the nature of marine life in the aquarium, the cosmos in the planetarium, or to spin your own tale in the theater, there's plenty to do and enjoy. As always there's task to complete too, and after all you've been through by now, what's a little more bonding in the pursuit of prizes?

!

[He's smiling to himself with his eyes closed as he ends the song, so hearing some clapping coming out of nowhere is quite the surprise. He glances over...]

Heh. It seems I garnered an audience somewhere along the way. Thank you for listening, Lacus.

[With that, he nods and offers her another tune. It's somber, but hopeful.]
idologue: (037 smile; serious)

[ Such gentle music... Lacus closes her eyes this time, sitting perfectly still as she lets the music envelop her. There's a second of silence after Temenos finishes, before she gets up to actually walk over. ]

These tunes are beautiful. Do you play for audiences, at home?

[Done playing for the time being, Temenos folds his hands neatly in his lap when he turns to face Lacus.]

For services sometimes, yes. But it has been quite a while since I last did that.

I see. From your profile, your current work does seem a lot more... involved than giving sermon to a local community.

[ Which is a pity, she thinks. She'd have liked attending service if he felt like giving it. ]

Haha. Goodness, I cannot even imagine giving a sermon now.

[He is so ungodly cynical. It would be bad.]

Even before I was preoccupied with my duties as inquisitor, I was more likely to put on paper plays for the children in order to teach them the Order's history.

Oh, that sounds lovely! The little ones do have such trouble staying engaged with mere speeches, too.

[ Paper plays... Somehow it's hard to imagine Temenos doing that. She's really only seen him in strange contexts, huh? ]

When I get home, I should suggest this to Reverend Malchio. He tries so hard to get them to memorize religious stories and his success is mixed.

[Temenos truly is a person who, the more you learn about, the more you go "what is even going on here?" at.]

It is the method in which I have found the most success. This Reverend of yours will want to ensure that the illustrations are bright and eye-catching for maximum engagement. Encouraging audience participation is also useful. For example, I enjoy forgetting my lines and having the children show what they have learned by filling in the blanks for me.

[Whether he does this intentionally or not is up for debate.]

[ 'I enjoy forgetting my lines' is an almost painful out of context statement for a performer to hear, but she laughs. ]

You're quite sneaky. Appealing to the innate desire to impress others like that...

[ Does she also do that all the time? Yes. ]
