The events of the past weekend, the past week, may linger on your mind as you awaken to the sun rising on your third week on Sungem's Peak. The rays of the sun are welcoming as always, and so are the amenities, and the new island— Kingfisher's Retreat.

The theme this week certainly seems to be relaxation and excitement, perhaps with a mind to distract all vacationers that your number has decreased by two. Or maybe you're the type to take a plunge in the name of your sacrificed vacationers? Either way, there's plenty of do, including more tasks for the objective minded.

1. waterfall
[ well, this is actually something interesting for crea. characters can find him at the top of the cliff in swim trunks and a shirt, waving happily at your character once he finds them nearby. ]

Heey! Come here! Let's jump together!

2. aviary
[ later in the day, crea can be found roaming the aviary. he's wearing a hoodie from the gift shop now, with a bit of seeds in his hand that the kittybot had so graciously given him. ]

I'm not actually sure what purpose this serves. It's kind of like a chicken coop, so are we supposed to ea—ow!

[ an angry couple of geese have teamed up. if crea won't give them the seed, then they're going to take it from him. ]

Uh. Help?

[ Wei Wuxian has some seeds on him too, which he hurls right behind the geese in an attempt to distract them from Crea. ]

Run while you can!

Uwah—!! Haha!

[ with a surprised laugh escaping crea, he jolts into action as the geese run to surround the fresh pile of seeds. understanding what he needs to do, he throws his on top, urging wei wuxian to follow. ]

Don't sacrifice yourself, run with me!

[diabolizes]

[ Wei Wuxian grins as he runs to catch up to Crea, letting out a light laugh. ]

Ah, so you won't let me sacrifice myself? What a good man you are!

Of course I won’t. Not after you saved my life like that.

[ crea laughs, watching the evil chickens geese eat. ]

And here I thought this was like a farm or a chicken coop. But maybe it’s not…?

[diabolizes]

...I thought it was some sort of hunting grounds.

[ So they were both extremely wrong between them. ]

[ he looks at the geese, and then up where the other birds continue on, indifferent of their presence. ]

What's the purpose of this, then? Just to watch them?

[Waltaquin is intrigued by the minerals, though she's already certain she hasn't been handed a font of untapped power. She'd like to explore them more closely nonetheless, and the temptation to jump down the leap of faith and see what formations await in the pool at the bottom is difficult to pass up.

She's not exactly dressed for going in the water just now, wearing a dress rather than anything made for swimming. At the wave, she comes over to look down into the abyss water.]

What a dangerous jump this looks like! I wonder if anyone's ever missed.

[ crea was planning to have so much fun. the thought of jumping into the cold waters seems both thrilling and new to him, as someone that doesn't have much chance to do fun things anymore.

he was planning to have fun... until waltaquin decided to speak her truth. ]

That's...kind of a morbid thought?

There's no need to look so downtrodden! Surely they designed it with both form and safety in mind.

[On the other hand, it's a thought she seems quite intrigued by entertaining! The crystals look like they could be a real hazard, should someone end up descending at the wrong angle.

[ HE WAS HAVING SO MUCH FUN UNTIL HE WAS REMINDED OF HIS MORTALITY.

sighs. it’s fine. he’ll heal if he gets skewered. with a smirk, he holds his hand out for her to hold. ]

Worst comes to worst and I’ll put my life before yours. I’ll make sure that I never let go of your hand in our descent.

[ it’s been a forever since he’s played at being a hero. ]

I promise to keep my word— so? What do you say?

[Never fear - She will do the thinking about your mortality for you, Crea!]

Hehe... How forward. I was surprised to hear you sound like a leader just then.

All this just to take my hand? [Or to psych himself back up after you reminded him of the perils of falling, genius. Ladylike and delicate, Quin removes her gloves and extends her hand to his palm down, taking hold.]

Hey, I still remember some stuff from my hero days. Some habits die harder than others.

[ even though those are days that are long long past him and this sort of thing never happened to him in the first place, but that's hardly the point. as soon as she offers his hand, he takes it in a firm, but gentle grip. ]

Maybe I just want you to experience something new. There's hardly anything thrilling about a little bit of hand holding, is there?

[ he'll take a step closer to the edge, gauging her reaction. ]

Let's see. You can still pull back, if you'd like. One last chance~

[ Well, Psyche did say she wanted to talk to Crea again. She hadn't exactly envisioned running into him when she'd decided to step inside the most familiar structure on the new island.

Help. Her aviary back home does not feature murderbirds. ]

Crea! Oh no... usually these are for tame birds?!

[ Quick, quick... it would be overkill to zap a bird. She'd feel terrible. She takes some of the seeds in her hands and just... flings them towards the geese, with questionable aim. ]

Wait, so this isn't a coop? Agh-!

[ well, some of the seeds have fallen on his feet, and the geese, demons that they are, are basically attacking his feet. thank god they're protected by his shoes. ]

These things are evil!

[ he'll just throw the seeds far away. leave him alone, birds! ]

Ah — sorry!

[ She didn't mean to feed him to the geese... Crea is about to become the island's fourth and most tragic sacrifice.

After he throws his diversion she darts in to tug him away. She'll fight a goose if she has to! She's prepared! ]

I can try to scare them away, but... it might startle the others too.

[ crea allows himself to get tugged away. the geese are happily feasting on their offerings and, now that he's out of danger, crea feels more comfortable with relaxing.

he laughs softly, rubbing the back of his neck. ]

Don't worry about it, you did your best, and I was just as confused as you. It looks like they're appeased for now. I knew some birds are aggressive, but dang, these are a whole other level.

They really are. I don't know why they'd put birds like this here...?

[ Actually. Considering this entire island, she probably does. She sighs and gives him a sheepish laugh for the misadventure. ]

It's an aviary... I think. Usually it's just for birds you'd use for display, or pets. A little like a greenhouse. It's much better than keeping them trapped in little cages. But I guess those ones weren't happy about it anyway.

Huh, interesting... I've seen people hunting with falcons and people growing chicken for food, but not something like this.

[ he smiles softly, looking around to view the variety of birds. ]

Maybe they were more excited about the food than they were threatened. Either way, we shouldn't have to think much about it. You said you had one, didn't you? Then this must remind you of home.

[ he sounds a little too cheerful about it. ]
