See you next time
SEE YOU
Welcome to...
Well, this ain't the islands anymore. You might see pieces of the island, a go-kart floating in the distance, the waterfall flowing upside down, a giant lollipop, all floating in what's similar to a nebula in space. Actually, it's closer to the void you've all grown to know so well over the weeks.
Fret not because the air here is breathable even if the landscape defies physics. Scattered throughout the "land" are shadowy portals, each leading to all of your homeworlds, at the exact time you had left off. Manipulating space-time is convenient like that.
Your u-pinions somehow, have survived, and they'll continue to function as an intranet between all of you. Oh, and everyone will gain the power to return to this space whenever they'd like and utilize the portals as they wish.
Your vacation is finally over, but this doesn't have to be goodbye. (( OOC: Happy Good End Everyone! You all earned this. We hope you had a great time, and from the three of us, thanks for joining us on this wild ride! ))

after all, they're backed by the ~ *power * ~ of ~ * friendship * ~ (???)

You know I never minded you at least, right?
[ he was a little preoccupied with overhaul at the end there, but he did overhear some things. ]

Yeah, thanks. It was fun to talk with you, you know? [ A beat. ] But there's no need to gloss over what I did.
[ It's not she ever thought it was a surprising take? Reasonable, if ill-timed. But she appreciates the gesture behind his words. ]

[ there is a reason he was just 'are we power of friendshipping this? seriously?' at the meetings okay. ]
I mean, I don't know how I feel about it exactly, but whatever. We all knew there was a pretty big chance things were going to get to them anyway or at least most of us better have known, I don't know about some people here. I don't think it really made a big difference at that point! It was never going to end nice and neat.
But I mean, we let Billy stick around.
[ the metanarrative takes this moment to look at billy, and how everything's coming up butcher. ]

Haha, I didn't mean for you to talk more about it than you wanted to. But I agree with all that. Nothing ever ends with a neatly tied bow anyway.
[ A slight hum can be heard from her as she shifts her weight. ]
And I think it's okay to not know how you feel about it exactly. I'm a big fan of just accepting those feelings exists and doing things anyway. [ A beat. ] Also letting Billy punch superheroes.

[ that's probably what happens when you make 'hero' into something like a widespread job that people purposely try to get into, rather than just the title given to whoever the stories will paint as such... ]

[ Another reason to go ahead with her plan sooner than later. ]
Anyway, the concept of heroes was always mutable based on what society claims to value. It was always going to keep changing. Not sure if that's comforting or not though.
[ Not that she cares about what makes a hero, but hey. ]

When you have a society full of them, that just defeats the point. So hmmm. I don't know that I'd try to do it the same way, but I do agree it sounds like they need a change.
[ so he will simply Look Away. not his business. ]

[ Maybe she would've agreed with the sentiment in her youth, back when it was straightforward to think of heroes as those who lend others a helping hand. But it was never that simple then or now. ]
And yeah, everyone's answer is different—we all have different priorities in the end. I do wish him well though. Society isn't one to change without major shakeups.
[ In the end though, they have to choose for themselves what's worth it. ]
