See you next time
SEE YOU
Welcome to...
Well, this ain't the islands anymore. You might see pieces of the island, a go-kart floating in the distance, the waterfall flowing upside down, a giant lollipop, all floating in what's similar to a nebula in space. Actually, it's closer to the void you've all grown to know so well over the weeks.
Fret not because the air here is breathable even if the landscape defies physics. Scattered throughout the "land" are shadowy portals, each leading to all of your homeworlds, at the exact time you had left off. Manipulating space-time is convenient like that.
Your u-pinions somehow, have survived, and they'll continue to function as an intranet between all of you. Oh, and everyone will gain the power to return to this space whenever they'd like and utilize the portals as they wish.
Your vacation is finally over, but this doesn't have to be goodbye. (( OOC: Happy Good End Everyone! You all earned this. We hope you had a great time, and from the three of us, thanks for joining us on this wild ride! ))

I would love nothing more. We both have much to attend to back home, but...it truly would be nice to put our troubles on hold, wouldn't it?
no subject
...
[He stroked Temenos's hair gently as he lowers his voice.]
I'll be here to make a pact with you. Whenever you need my power at your side.
no subject
[Alas, work continues for the time being.
He perks up at the mention of the pact. While he certainly hadn't forgotten about it, it took a bit of a backseat to everything else going on.]
Shall we find a more private area?
[As...private as this void can get...]
no subject
He'll take Temenos by the hand, gripping it tight.]
Come on. We don't need a lot of space. But it might be better if we're not interrupted.
[So long as Temenos allows it, Beelzebub will lead them out beyond most of the portals, where the buzz of conversation and goodbyes are as much of background noise as they can be against the darkness.
Only when they've reached a place Beel thinks is adequate does he crawl to a stop, looking back towards the group, before settling his eyes towards the cleric. There's something firm in his gaze, a seriousness touched with fondness that's as subtle as all his other brief flickers of emotion. A pact was no laughing matter.
He scoops up Temenos's other hand to keep them both in his own grip, wanting his attention entirely.]
...I want to make sure you're still okay with this. If you have any doubt, we can save this for the future. But...
I want to give this to you. Whenever you feel you're ready.
no subject
His eyes are already on Beelzebub before he pulls for that attention, squeezing his hands tightly. That gentle, lackadaisical look that he tends to sport is gone, hardened with the seriousness that this moment requires.]
I told you I would take the time to think very hard about this, and I have. But if I may be completely honest with you, Beel, my mind was made up the moment we decided to challenge the administrators together.
["I'd fight God again for you."
"Then let us fight God."]
It was in that same moment that I decided I would renounce the my position in the Order. It was a decision that had been a long time coming, but...what better way to seal it than with this?
I want this, my dear Beel. Not simply for your power, but also to be connected to you even when we cannot be together. Knowing you are always near if I am in need of your aid would be a great comfort indeed.
no subject
He gives a quiet nod, his lips quirking to a smile. That grip doesn't let go.
The ripple of energy that suddenly echoes out from him is icy cold and impossible to miss, something that makes all the hairs of the body stand on end, a live wire being torn loose from its connection.]
A pact means that I'm giving you control over my power, to use any way you want, in exchange for something I want in return.
...
Temenos... I want you. I want to taste your happiness, your anger, and your stories, until the end of your days.
Pact with me.
no subject
Hahaha...
[He can't help but utter a good-natured laugh over the sensation, and over Beelzebub's desire. Giving himself over to Beelzebub in return? That was already a given, so why not make it official?]
Until my final breath...I am yours, and you are mine.
May our pact be sealed.
no subject
I am yours. You are mine.
no subject
As the energy fades, his eyes flutter back open to watch Beelzebub kiss his hands. Those same hands gently break away so he can guide the demon into leaning forward for a proper kiss.]
My, my. You're stuck with me now. How unfortunate. [He's teasing, of course, and winks to confirm as such.] I love you.
no subject
[A hand moves to grip his shoulder as Beelzebub circles to Temenos's side, nodding towards the space in front of them.] Hold out your hand in front of you. You know how to cast, right?
I'll tell you the words. Focus on our pact, and do what you can to summon me. [And whenever Temenos is situated, Beelzebub will do just that, a quiet mumbling against his ear.]
vague OT2 spoilers
All right. Let's give this a go.
[He takes a breath, then closes his eyes as if he's about to recite a prayer. There won't be any more of those from now on, though. At least, not to the Sacred Flame.]
Hear me, denizens of darkness, you who are born of shadow and you who give birth to it.
Hear me and do as I command!
[He wonders, as he recites these lines for himself, how similar the rite to bring forth the Shadow sounded. The one who performed that rite and so desperately wanted Temenos to join their side... They would certainly be laughing at this perceived hypocrisy now.]
I, Temenos Mistral, call upon you to send forth one of your number!
[Such concerns are chased away from his mind as he thinks of his newly formed pact, and the warmth he can feel growing within as the magic courses through his veins. While he has gained new power, he didn't seek it out to further his own ends. He gained this power because it was entrusted to him by the one he loves. This is a power he intends to walk beside for the remainder of his life.]
I summon the Avatar of Gluttony, Beelzebub!
no subject
But as he continues, it solidifies into something more secure, something that tugs on the line of that pact as he gives his name, gives Beelzebub's, confirms an agreement that can't be broken. He'll feel that touch dissipate from his shoulder as that energy peaks at his side, where the demon promptly vanishes into thin air.
A moment later, he reappears in another flash of energy with his back to Temenos in the center of the incantation circle, wings vibrating as he regains his bearings.
He turns back to Temenos with a grin.]
Easy as pie.
no subject
He laughs, pleased by his success.]
I imagine that must be a bit disorienting if you're not expecting it. I'll try to use it sparingly. I wouldn't want you getting annoyed with me for calling upon you for simple company.
no subject
[He easily lets his demon form fall away to his more casual appearance as the circle dies down, returning to Temenos's side.]
It looks like the U-PINION things might still work, though. You could always make sure I'm not in the middle of a meal if you just want to spend some together.
You can also give orders to me like this, if you need to. I don't know if you'd need to... but the only other human I'm in a pact with has used commands before to stop me in my tracks.
no subject
[How is he even going to explain his U-PINION to literally anyone from his world? He'll just have to keep it a secret for the time being.
(This will work for maybe 20 minutes until ThronΓ© steals it from him.)
Orders, though... His lips curl into a playful smirk.]
I can't imagine I will, save for a bit of fun. [He didn't form a pact to control Beel or anything.] Is your other pactbearer one of the humans you've told me about before?
no subject
[It's odd to talk about them so eagerly. When was it that they became a part of the family, nearly as important as his siblings? He's not sure.]
They risked themselves to save my life. I felt I owed them something for doing what they did... and they asked for a pact, so that they could get Lucifer to respect them enough to help smooth things over with Belphie.
Or, well... that's mostly the truth.
[Things had come to light not to long ago to shift that a bit... and not everyone had taken it well. Beel can imagine Asmodeous probably sulking in a bathroom somewhere.]
But it doesn't matter at this point. I still trust them a lot. And they really helped get Belphie back somehow.
no subject
[From what Temenos knows of the situation, obviously things haven't been smoothed over just yet, but that's still a goal he can respect. And it goes without saying that them wanting to protect Beelzebub puts them high in his estimations.]
I should like to meet them at some point as well.
no subject
[You sassy humans and your sass.]
I can't guarantee they'll be here when we reunite. Their exchange trip ends at the end of the year. But... I'll tell them about you.
I think out of anyone, they'll understand.
no subject
Ah, so their presence in the Devildom is a temporary one. It would be a shame to miss them, but time waits for no one. I'll hold out hope, though. It would be nice to have a fellow human around.
[Especially one with Devildom experience.]
no subject
Solomon might be around sometimes. He's had a pact with Asmo for longer than I can really remember. Just don't eat anything he cooks.
[It's a very, very serious warning, accompanied with a brief look of almost angered disgust. Coming from him? This is a lot.
Still, he gets his mind off that horrible sorcerer's cooking easily enough.]
Do you think I'll be able to meet any of the people you travel with?
no subject
[If Beelzebub is saying not to eat someone's cooking, then Temenos is staying far, far away.
He brightens up when Beelzebub shows interest in the party.]
Oh, I'll insist that you do. I imagine we'll all be together for quite some time still, so there will be plenty of opportunities.
They are all very kind people. You and Ochette will be fast friends in particular, that much I am absolutely certain of. Hunting and preparing what she captures is her passion.
[Beel would get to try so much jerky.]
no subject
She must be a really good cook if you think we'd be friends that fast.
What about the others?
no subject
[If she can find an opportunity to talk about meat, she will...
And since Beel asked about the others, strap in for some rambling!]
Hm, let's see... ThronΓ© is a thief and assassin, though she wishes to break free from the profession. Though she is cunning and ruthless in her field, she is very empathetic and I have often confided in her during our travels. Castti is an apothecary who lost her memory and has been journeying to recover it. She is kind and motherly with a vast medical knowledge. It's fortunate that she didn't lose those instincts along with her memory. All of that said, you do not want to get on her side. She can be quite frightening. [He laughs it off though.] Agnea is our youngest, with aspirations to become a famous dancer like her mother. She's as bright as the sun- it's hard not to smile in her presence. Though she is also rather naive to the world at times.
Osvald is an unparalleled scholar who has been on a journey to avenge his late family. He is quite prickly and not one for nonsense or conversation, but he has a soft core to him. Just don't tell him I said that. Partitio is a merchant with an incredible talent for commerce. He has a bit of a heroic and reckless streak, but it's hard not to believe in his dream to end poverty. Lastly, Hikari is a young prince who is building a force to take back his homeland from his tyrant of a brother. He has a strong sense of justice and values peace and friendship above all else.
[Phew! That's everyone!]
It was just myself and Osvald when I started my own journey, but our group quickly grew into what it is now. I can't say I ever expected to wind up with such an eclectic bunch, but I've greatly enjoyed my time with them.
no subject
Beel, thankfully, isn't one who's against keeping his own words to a minimum. So Temenos gets his undivided attention... as best as he can manage, anyway.]
It's a lot of names. [His brow furrows.] Maybe it might be easier when I meet them.
...You sound really fond of them, though. Were they all just people you happened to meet while you were looking for the Moonshade Order?
no subject
Oh, I imagine it will be. And I will of course give proper introductions when you do.
[He can't help but wonder how they'll react... They'll probably think he's insane for even talking about some murder vacation, let alone the demon boyfriend he met and made a pact with there.
It's a problem for Future Temenos to worry about.]
During my journey and others', yes. We were always traveling to different destinations for one matter or another, and found one another along the way. We all had a common reason for joining up: strength in numbers.
Their aid has been invaluable to my cause, and so I offer mine to theirs in return.
