See you next time
SEE YOU
Welcome to...
Well, this ain't the islands anymore. You might see pieces of the island, a go-kart floating in the distance, the waterfall flowing upside down, a giant lollipop, all floating in what's similar to a nebula in space. Actually, it's closer to the void you've all grown to know so well over the weeks.
Fret not because the air here is breathable even if the landscape defies physics. Scattered throughout the "land" are shadowy portals, each leading to all of your homeworlds, at the exact time you had left off. Manipulating space-time is convenient like that.
Your u-pinions somehow, have survived, and they'll continue to function as an intranet between all of you. Oh, and everyone will gain the power to return to this space whenever they'd like and utilize the portals as they wish.
Your vacation is finally over, but this doesn't have to be goodbye. (( OOC: Happy Good End Everyone! You all earned this. We hope you had a great time, and from the three of us, thanks for joining us on this wild ride! ))

[He easily lets his demon form fall away to his more casual appearance as the circle dies down, returning to Temenos's side.]
It looks like the U-PINION things might still work, though. You could always make sure I'm not in the middle of a meal if you just want to spend some together.
You can also give orders to me like this, if you need to. I don't know if you'd need to... but the only other human I'm in a pact with has used commands before to stop me in my tracks.
no subject
[How is he even going to explain his U-PINION to literally anyone from his world? He'll just have to keep it a secret for the time being.
(This will work for maybe 20 minutes until Thronรฉ steals it from him.)
Orders, though... His lips curl into a playful smirk.]
I can't imagine I will, save for a bit of fun. [He didn't form a pact to control Beel or anything.] Is your other pactbearer one of the humans you've told me about before?
no subject
[It's odd to talk about them so eagerly. When was it that they became a part of the family, nearly as important as his siblings? He's not sure.]
They risked themselves to save my life. I felt I owed them something for doing what they did... and they asked for a pact, so that they could get Lucifer to respect them enough to help smooth things over with Belphie.
Or, well... that's mostly the truth.
[Things had come to light not to long ago to shift that a bit... and not everyone had taken it well. Beel can imagine Asmodeous probably sulking in a bathroom somewhere.]
But it doesn't matter at this point. I still trust them a lot. And they really helped get Belphie back somehow.
no subject
[From what Temenos knows of the situation, obviously things haven't been smoothed over just yet, but that's still a goal he can respect. And it goes without saying that them wanting to protect Beelzebub puts them high in his estimations.]
I should like to meet them at some point as well.
no subject
[You sassy humans and your sass.]
I can't guarantee they'll be here when we reunite. Their exchange trip ends at the end of the year. But... I'll tell them about you.
I think out of anyone, they'll understand.
no subject
Ah, so their presence in the Devildom is a temporary one. It would be a shame to miss them, but time waits for no one. I'll hold out hope, though. It would be nice to have a fellow human around.
[Especially one with Devildom experience.]

Solomon might be around sometimes. He's had a pact with Asmo for longer than I can really remember. Just don't eat anything he cooks.
[It's a very, very serious warning, accompanied with a brief look of almost angered disgust. Coming from him? This is a lot.
Still, he gets his mind off that horrible sorcerer's cooking easily enough.]
Do you think I'll be able to meet any of the people you travel with?
no subject
[If Beelzebub is saying not to eat someone's cooking, then Temenos is staying far, far away.
He brightens up when Beelzebub shows interest in the party.]
Oh, I'll insist that you do. I imagine we'll all be together for quite some time still, so there will be plenty of opportunities.
They are all very kind people. You and Ochette will be fast friends in particular, that much I am absolutely certain of. Hunting and preparing what she captures is her passion.
[Beel would get to try so much jerky.]
no subject
She must be a really good cook if you think we'd be friends that fast.
What about the others?
no subject
[If she can find an opportunity to talk about meat, she will...
And since Beel asked about the others, strap in for some rambling!]
Hm, let's see... Thronรฉ is a thief and assassin, though she wishes to break free from the profession. Though she is cunning and ruthless in her field, she is very empathetic and I have often confided in her during our travels. Castti is an apothecary who lost her memory and has been journeying to recover it. She is kind and motherly with a vast medical knowledge. It's fortunate that she didn't lose those instincts along with her memory. All of that said, you do not want to get on her side. She can be quite frightening. [He laughs it off though.] Agnea is our youngest, with aspirations to become a famous dancer like her mother. She's as bright as the sun- it's hard not to smile in her presence. Though she is also rather naive to the world at times.
Osvald is an unparalleled scholar who has been on a journey to avenge his late family. He is quite prickly and not one for nonsense or conversation, but he has a soft core to him. Just don't tell him I said that. Partitio is a merchant with an incredible talent for commerce. He has a bit of a heroic and reckless streak, but it's hard not to believe in his dream to end poverty. Lastly, Hikari is a young prince who is building a force to take back his homeland from his tyrant of a brother. He has a strong sense of justice and values peace and friendship above all else.
[Phew! That's everyone!]
It was just myself and Osvald when I started my own journey, but our group quickly grew into what it is now. I can't say I ever expected to wind up with such an eclectic bunch, but I've greatly enjoyed my time with them.

Beel, thankfully, isn't one who's against keeping his own words to a minimum. So Temenos gets his undivided attention... as best as he can manage, anyway.]
It's a lot of names. [His brow furrows.] Maybe it might be easier when I meet them.
...You sound really fond of them, though. Were they all just people you happened to meet while you were looking for the Moonshade Order?
no subject
Oh, I imagine it will be. And I will of course give proper introductions when you do.
[He can't help but wonder how they'll react... They'll probably think he's insane for even talking about some murder vacation, let alone the demon boyfriend he met and made a pact with there.
It's a problem for Future Temenos to worry about.]
During my journey and others', yes. We were always traveling to different destinations for one matter or another, and found one another along the way. We all had a common reason for joining up: strength in numbers.
Their aid has been invaluable to my cause, and so I offer mine to theirs in return.
no subject
It's sort of like you found yourself another kind of family, in a way.
[He remembers hearing how dedicated Temenos was to his father, to Crick... and now to this little ragtag team of travelers. It makes his heart feel lighter, knowing Temenos is going home to people he feels that sort of connection towards.]
no subject
[He glances toward the portals. An autumn scene of the Crestlands makes one of them undeniably the path to Solistia.]
I'm glad that time doesn't seem to have passed, either. I feared I was missing out on the remainder of their journeys.
[He had written as much on a postcard, all those weeks ago.]
no subject
[...
It's the obvious elephant in the room, looking out at the portals - seeing Solistia in one direction, looking beyond it and seeing the dark purple skies and black rickety roofs that dotted the Devildom capital with the fires of the castle keeping its silhouette prominent. Pact or not... they would need to separate for now. Again.
...
Falling quiet, Beel gently reaches to brush his fingers against Temenos's wrist again.]
...I didn't think we'd be saying goodbye again so quickly. But...
...Will you let me know how things are going, while we're apart?
no subject
Feeling the brush against him, he extends his hand for Beelzebub to take.]
Of course I will. Honestly, I'll probably message you with even the most mundane of updates, just to check in with you.
[How did he ever live without texting? He always found keeping in touch via mail as such a hassle. And as nice as it is to feel connected to Beel with their pact, having direct access to him in a less intrusive way is going to make the temporary separation easier to bear.]
You'll appraise me of your situation too, right? As soon as you give the word, I'd like to summon you to Solistia for a visit.
...Conversely, please let me know if you ever need my aid in the Devildom. I want to support your cause as much as my traveling companions'.
no subject
[Even if they were far from it for the time being.
He holds that hand gently, casually.]
Diavolo doesn't want humans getting involved, not even Solomon or Yuki. I don't want you getting hurt. And I won't do Belphie any good going to prison, too.
Once I have a chance to talk to Lucifer, though? I'll try to reach for you.
[He'll have a better idea of whether he'd be on his own for whatever was to come, once he'd been able to discuss with his brothers. And as much as he loved Temenos... some things needed to stay with the family.]
no subject
Very well. In that case, I'll place every bit of my faith in your success.
[At least he has a clear idea of what to focus on for the time being.]
no subject
I will for you, too. You, and the rest of your travelers. I've seen you get through this place... so I know you can do it, too.
[He doesn't want to be kept separate, and a selfish part of him wants to ask Temenos to just come with immediately. But Beelzebub knows Lucifer's wrath, as well as Diavolo's warning that rushing in with anger would only make things worse for Belphegor. Whether he can have his family back on his side, or just find a safe place to collect himself... maybe he doesn't have a plan beyond that, but to make sure Temenos wouldn't physically be in the middle of two or more warring demons right away was at least a step in the right direction.
...
The silence sits a little longer, as Beel lets out a slow sigh through the nose, contemplativw, turning Temenos's hand over in his own.]
...When you're done saying and doing what you need here, I'd like to walk you home. Can I?
no subject
[The Moonshade Order and other traveler story final bosses won't know what hit them, clearly.
Beelzebub might even hear about Temenos picking up a new job in the near future...
He can see the reluctance though, and he understands it well. It's going to be difficult to deal with the separation at first. But he knows they'll both be strong enough to cope until they can meet again. They each have their own support networks that will hopefully accept whatever they come to learn.
He lifts up his other hand to cup Beelzebub's, sandwiching it between both hands.]
Of course you can. I would like that very much, in fact. [He smiles toward his portal.] The exact destination is where I grew up- the Crestlands. I'll give you a proper tour at some point, but it'll be nice to give you a taste for now.
no subject
...It's pretty.
What is it like, in the Crestlands?
no subject
[There is such a thing as too much excitement after all. Who would have guessed?]
The region itself is mountainous and quite cool most of the year. Flamechurch, where I live, sees many adherents of the Sacred Flame making their pilgrimage to the cathedral. Montwise to the east is a hub for academics of all disciplines to gather and share their studies. Finally, Merry Hills sees the most excitement as an entertainment capital.
