Throughout your time on the island, there's been a steady rhythm; the murders, the trials, the executions, the clean-up afterwards that leave just up remnants for you to remember what was lost. This Monday morning though, things are different. The debris and any biohazards are cleared, but no effort has been made to repair the games at the arcade, or to restock the chemicals and damaged equipment at the laboratory.

Odd.

If you cast your eyes to the sky, you'll also notice that the distortion is also lingering—there's certainly less of it at least, a haze still lingering over the go-karts, one whirlpool lingering out in the sea. It could be worse, surely.

Though there's no new locations for you to take your mind off of all these oddities either. In fact, looking at your device to access the resort map area and scrolling past Kakapo's Nest triggers an error.

There’s one more, slightly more eclectic change: the kittybots, instead of having cute kitty ears and faces, are now without exception round-headed. This would make them look like ordinary robots, but their heads actually now look like a bowl of fish swimming, which occasionally form up into expressions. A change of pace for everything, it seems.

[ Lacus has... kind if just not been participating in these before, woops.

But this time, she's got some things to offer:

Fox Ears: A headband with orange furred fox ears on them.
Sunglasses: A pair of very expensive sunglasses. Black, glossy frame with square, semi-transparent orange lenses. "Majolish" printed on one side. Very flashy.
Book of Night: It is said that reading the teachings in this forbidden tome has caused many to succumb to a despair so crippling that they would no longer wish for another dawn. ]

[Temenos catches sight of that book and just stands there in an icy silence for a good long moment.

And then he smiles.]

I see you've found some good kindling material.

It does seem very sinister. I wondered if it might belong to one of our necromancer friends.

[He nods, going on to recite a verse from its pages.]

"Surrender yourself not unto silent dusk.

For the light shall fade.

And soon, night shall fall."

It is called the Book of Night, and it is a tool used by the Moonshade Order. I came to know it rather well during my travels.

I cannot overstate how dangerous it is.

[It is an exceptionally poor bluff, even for Waltaquin. She doesn't seem to really want to hide it at all.]

Consider them tempered. I'm certain I've seen far more beyond what's contain that book's tiny pages, hehehehehe, even beyond what can be put into words.
