Throughout your time on the island, there's been a steady rhythm; the murders, the trials, the executions, the clean-up afterwards that leave just up remnants for you to remember what was lost. This Monday morning though, things are different. The debris and any biohazards are cleared, but no effort has been made to repair the games at the arcade, or to restock the chemicals and damaged equipment at the laboratory.
Odd.
If you cast your eyes to the sky, you'll also notice that the distortion is also lingering—there's certainly less of it at least, a haze still lingering over the go-karts, one whirlpool lingering out in the sea. It could be worse, surely.
Though there's no new locations for you to take your mind off of all these oddities either. In fact, looking at your device to access the resort map area and scrolling past Kakapo's Nest triggers an error.
There’s one more, slightly more eclectic change: the kittybots, instead of having cute kitty ears and faces, are now without exception round-headed. This would make them look like ordinary robots, but their heads actually now look like a bowl of fish swimming, which occasionally form up into expressions. A change of pace for everything, it seems.

Oh, that conversation. It was a test...
...And a topic concerning idea of change. What that means in a situation like this. What it means on an individual level, and for people inhuman and human alike.

Sometimes, change is nice, because you realize something you didn't know about yourself until that very moment. And in that moment, you become someone more than you were before. Or sometimes, that change breaks you down, forcing you to realize you have to recreate yourself from the bottom up. No matter how difficult that might be. And even then, you, as a person might not come out in tact from that alteration.
But, tell me, Magolor, what do you think of change? Are you afraid of it? Do you think it's inevitable? Do you think those incapable of it can eventually change too?

Man, you really like asking some big questions, huh? Here I maybe thought supposedly dying might have made you all cryptic or something even worse, but no, turns out you're just like this normally.
But I guess that's only to be expected, if you've been watching people for as long as you say? You've probably seen all sorts come and go.

So I guess I'll be honest! I don't know that I can say I've been around as long as you, but I like to think that I've been all over the place. Traveled to countless worlds in my time. Met a lot of people.
So for a long time, I thought that no matter where you go, in a lot of ways, people don't change. Not really, you know?
And then I went and got surprised by something as simple as the kindness a certain someone showed to a stranger, but whatever. It's kinda funny, isn't it?
Hmm. Considering I've met the same people more than once, in different places, in different times ... Sometimes the more things change, the more they stay the same. For some people, certain things will remain true no matter what, it seems like. ... But that's not what you're talking about, is it?
For the change you're talking about, the kind that comes at the very end, except you have to pick yourself up after ... [ huffs, again! ] Really, if I say that I know what you're talking about, will you care to enlighten me on why you decided to ask me of all people that kind of loaded question as a test?

[ Which is why he can be particular difficult to deal with at times, but all the same...there are people who don't mind it so much.
And then there are people who do. Anyway, he's glad to hear that the other's answering it seriously, even if it is a lot. That's what makes things interesting.
He doesn't know too much about him, but now he has more insight, given his own responses. Though, that isn't necessarily the reason why he tossed the inquiry his way. When offered the question, he can only laugh, because... ]

[ an airy sigh, one finger tapping at his chin in thought as his eyes narrow. ]
Sometimes you end up in a place where you realize that wow, if you keep doing what you've been doing, then nothing good really will ever come of it. Either for yourself, or anyone else. Sometimes you end up somewhere where the only person to blame for where you are is yourself, so you might as well take a good hard look at how you ended up there. See if you still want to be that guy. Or, sometimes you reach a point where you know that if you make a certain decision— there's no going back from it.
It's not all that dramatic, though. People don't just change entirely, just like that. They don't change at their core just because they messed with something they shouldn't and discovered there might be consequences for it. Sometimes change just comes in the form of building yourself back up with what you know now, and trying to be just a little bit better. So in that sense, anyone can change. No one's incapable of it.
But just because something can, doesn't mean it will. I think that both you and I know plenty of reasons for why someone faced with good reason or impetus to change ... just won't! So likewise, I think you'd have to be pretty naive to go into something hoping for change to make it all better.

But, you know. I felt like passing it onto you because I also figured that you'd think real hard about it! It's the perfect kind of food for thought in a place like this, you know.
Being in a situation like this inspires a lot of change. Good and bad~
