WEEK 5; TRIAL
TRIAL
Three dead, one vote. This might be a pit of a pickle, huh? Perhaps appropriately, the kittybots are serving pickles of all flavors today, along with food that might remind you of your childhood like ants on a log, gummy worm sundaes and adorable toast in sweet and savory profiles. To drink, are their best attempts at replicating the DD refreshers with a whole array of silly straws.
Off to the side in a booth of their own are the bodies as well as attendant kittybots (well two bodies and one arm); simply request which body you'd like to look at and the kitty bots will direct you appropriately, given the number of arms floating around. The kittybots continue to do their best.
(( OOC: Welcome to your third trial! You'll have 7 hours (8PM EST/5PM PST) to vote one (1) person guilty of murder. Since this is scapegoat style, finding the correct killer is not mandatory!
Please remember to vote before then unless you've spoken to a mod, as votes are our stand-in for AC. ))

...Right.
[He laughs, a little manic.]
What, did you... wake up last night and you were hungry? Is that what happened, Beelzebub?
no subject
...I'm sorry. I don't know.
I remember waking up and leaving the cabana. And I remember... coming to, like this.
I don't remember anything else.
no subject
Why the hell did you leave, then?
[...]
Was... was Nona still there when you left? Do you really not have any clue what happened?!
no subject
I knew that, if I was awake, it was probably for a reason. And I didn't want people in the cabana to get hurt.
So I left. I just... don't remember where I ended up. And I don't remember who was missing.
no subject
... I know why Nona might have left the cabana that night.

[Wait what]

[ Lacus looks at her feet for a moment before making this announcement. ]
Nona was dying. She told me two weeks ago that she only had a week left, maybe two. Her birthday party last night... I can't be sure, but I think it was her farewell party at the same time.
She wouldn't have wanted us to wake up to her corpse. She was kind.
If it truly was Alice, she killed a dead girl walking.

[He feels guilty, for a moment, because - he's felt what Beel's hunger is like firsthand, now, but...
It's a lot to take in.]
Why didn't you say this earlier?
no subject
I was scared.
I thought if I could make sense of it, if people could help figure things out so I might remember something, then maybe I...
...
[His hand buries into his shirt.]
Maybe I'd help somebody get some peace. I couldn't give them any answers like this. But...
...

Whatever. It doesn't matter.

That can't have been him.
no subject
No. I believe this has to do with what happened to Alice.

[...
Wow! He hates this!]
But sometimes he gets so hungry he doesn't remember eating.
[Thanks, memshares!]

[Sorry, he's getting a little hysterical.]
Crea brought some extra to! So did I! We've all seen what happens when he gets too hungry!

Haruka. Calm yourself. You cannot lose your wits- not now. That is why I ask. Typically, even when he eats well the night before, he spends at least ten minutes eating when he wakes up after a full night of sleep.
Did he do that today?
no subject
...He did, but-
[He cuts himself off.
There's no point in saying anything more. What's done is done. Beelzebub can defend himself.]
no subject
Alice may have killed Nona and he may have killed Alice after finding her. [ Again, nothing to back it up ]
no subject
[He wasn't close with either so.]
no subject
[ crea stomps his foot down, clearly emotional over this. nona wouldn't do something like that, in his head. nona couldn't have sacrificed herself to the island when so many people in it loved her so much. ]

But those are secrets she has shared with me in confidence. I am already betraying her trust by revealing that she knew of her demise, so I'd like to keep her privacy for the rest of it.

What could be more mindless than that, in the whole world with all its memories and bodies?
