WEEK 5; TRIAL
TRIAL
Three dead, one vote. This might be a pit of a pickle, huh? Perhaps appropriately, the kittybots are serving pickles of all flavors today, along with food that might remind you of your childhood like ants on a log, gummy worm sundaes and adorable toast in sweet and savory profiles. To drink, are their best attempts at replicating the DD refreshers with a whole array of silly straws.
Off to the side in a booth of their own are the bodies as well as attendant kittybots (well two bodies and one arm); simply request which body you'd like to look at and the kitty bots will direct you appropriately, given the number of arms floating around. The kittybots continue to do their best.
(( OOC: Welcome to your third trial! You'll have 7 hours (8PM EST/5PM PST) to vote one (1) person guilty of murder. Since this is scapegoat style, finding the correct killer is not mandatory!
Please remember to vote before then unless you've spoken to a mod, as votes are our stand-in for AC. ))

He'll also guide Temenos to the floor, if he needs to sit now]

It has something of a sweet scent to it.
mods!
[If Baizhu, with his poisons knowledge, wafted the beaker to himself and away from Temenos, would he be able to recognize the sweet smell to a specific chemical, or family of chemicals?]

I think this is likely one of a couple things, but perhaps Magolor if I could get a piece of one of your birds?
[The piece of a bird and a cup swiped from the buffet table. Science!!]

[ throwing this in here in case the mods need it before going ahead ]
mods!
Once Baizhu has acquired these, and he's going to put the bird bit in the cup and pour some of the mystery liquid on it. Does the meat show any sign of acid exposure, or is the fat and proteins separating, anything noticeable like that? He will shake the cup gently if nothing immediately happens to make the reaction go faster if needed.]

Time to go
pick a test subjectsee if Beel is feeling generous.]Beelzebub, do you know how well you would take potential sedatives? I know your stomach is quite resilient [and carrying most of their investigations] but inhalants are a bit different.
[
at least he's not just gonna roofie him?? he asked first!!]no subject
[What a weird question, but okay.]
I don't know. If they don't smell good, I don't think I would bother to try.
Why?

I was thinking that--if you wouldn't injure yourself by trying mind you--you could try breathing some in to see if it was or not. If you start to have an adverse reaction I can heal it, but it could be important to figuring out what was preplanned in the laboratory. You're the most sturdy of the people here with foreign substances.
[you're also the group's Guinea pig, but that's the quiet part we don't say out loud.]

[He frowns a little, but slowly nods.]
I don't mind, but I'm not sure I could tell you what it was. What do you want me paying attention to?
no subject
Again, I can heal the damage after is there is any, and you stop at any time and I will heal you from the effects.
no subject
Okay. I'll try.
[Time to huff some chemicals I guess.]

Should we really be using Beel as a guinea pig right now?

If we know what this is, we can figure out whether something else was planned. If someone who died was the one who originally set up a murder, but they were caught or interrupted, wouldn't you like to know? It could make narrowing down the killers among us slightly easier as well.
