WEEK 5 INVESTIGATION
INVESTIGATION
Good Mourning. Unlike the previous weeks, there's no musical serenade to greet you, just the ambient sounds of the island and the stirrings of those you spent the night with, if you were the type to want company. For those of you on certain islands, the background thrum (and siren laments, for those unlucky) of the warp phenomenon may also have sung you to sleep; but will they sing you to waking? You know how this goes by now, so is anything on this of all mornings really comforting? And is everyone you spent the night with still with you...?
Indeed, the not-so-dulcet tones of the ever-present haze fill the morning; you may not want it accounted for, but here it is nevertheless.
(( OOC: Welcome to your final murder investigation, let's get this party started☆ ))

It's an entire mess here and that is putting it lightly.
On his way over from the main resort, Joshua probably also took notice of something that isn't quite a crater, but a point of impact on the ground nearby/a little before entering the garden proper. ]

couple of things:
- how big is this not-quite a crater, like, compared to the vergilius/lobelia thing, like is the point of impact big enough still or like, is it kind of small? any way he can tell what made it - e.g. scorch marks, does it look like a weapon did it or is it inconclusive.....
- just to confirm that this is immediately outside the garden and not some distance away?
- looks at the garden damage............. any footprints that happened to get caught in the dirt? where is the damage most concentrated and did it look like a scuffle took place here from the fallen decorations? is anything else broken? ]

It's right outside of the garden. Nearby this little not-quite crater spot are also footprints, leading into the garden, so he can definitely see some caught in the dirt. There's also pair of set of footprints moving from the garden towards the rail area nearby, but they are so mixed with each other that trying to determine anything from these second set of footprints would result in inconclusive results.
Inside the garden it does look like quite a scuffle! (There was once a lone Haro here, but Lacus took it with her.)
There's also some sort of...decoration? If he wants to check it out. ]

anyway, before that! for the first set of footprints leading into the garden, are those clear enough that he can grab pics of a size comparison, are they bigger/smaller than his own feet or someone of his height - 5'5", approx size 7ish?
how deep/shallow is the crater? just so he can guess (????) the strength of the impact of whatever hit the ground I guess
incidentally, did any of the damage hit the memorials or have those been protected somehow? is there any other part of the garden that escaped some damage, good luck kittybots in cleaning, or is the damage just kind of, everywhere at a similar level bc someone did a rampage here.
... yeah why not, let's take a look at the decoration. what horrors await us there??? ]

The not-crater is hanging somewhere towards the shallow side of things, but too much so; definitely not super deep either given the wide/length of it.
The minor decorations hanging around (the little items left as memorials for the dead) were knocked over, so that's about it.
But the bigger one, which is actually more of a finished sculpture, looks untouched. It looks like one of these, with several sections and more variation in colors (there are also art supplies in a box nearby, evidently utilized in the creation of this majestic work of art!) It has clearly been in the works for about weeks. ]

also more stuff just to make sure that I've covered my bases re: statues: is that glass structure just the only thing that's untouched or is it safe to assume that the other replica statues in the garden also escaped?
just to confirm, if he pokes around the signs of the scuffle in the garden, is there anything else other than the dirt and footprints to suggest that a scuffle took place? e.g. any blood drawn, or the like?
is the damage localised to the trampled plants? is anything happening to the garden fountain...... ]
no subject
There will be nothing else hanging around the general area of the garden to indicate the scuffle other than the general disorderly state of things being knocked over, and trampled plants!
The garden fountain is free of crimes. ]

any part where the trampling in the plants looks worse than the others? he's tryna trace where the fight or scuffle probably started/ended... ]
no subject
The art supplies were fine and free from crimes.
As for the other aspects of this...
It looks all around bad re: trampling. Plants weren't really spared here. ]

So even if there is a lot of plant damage, it's closer towards the entrance of the garden in general. ]
