Execution

The haze still lingers over the islands, snaking through with a low thrum. Today it's time to fix that, to enact some semblance of justice for Kallamar. As for Skywarp's killer, for now they'll continue to walk free.

The setup is much the same as it was two weeks ago with Overhaul and Shigaraki present, willing participants guided by the kittybots to the sandbar. There's popcorn offered again, though this time there's also the addition of popcorn shrimp, perhaps to keep in trend with the offerings from trial.

Settle in to watch the show, the two figures standing in the middle in clear view.

(( OOC: Executions are voluntary except for the executed and executioner. The path back to the island will also remain for the entirety of the execution, so characters may leave whenever they wish as well.))

[ He is regretting leaving his spear behind for this exact reason, because he would have gladly chopped one of those tendrils off, even if it costed him his life. Anything to get to Crea.

He dodges the first tendril, the second, and the third. Then, he sees Crea rise to his feet again, after laying motionless on the ground. That is enough for him to get distracted and subsequently get pierced by the fourth, right in his side. Xiao stumbles backward afterwards, and his hand covers his abdomen as he groans in pain...just as the quicksand starts to kick in.

Time for baby sand jail. 🧍‍♂️ ]

[ Her approach isn't quite as reckless now that she's been talked down and she's seen the others grabbed by the sand. She's trying not to look like she's making a break for the arena as she heads over to Xiao to get within healing range to do what she can for the wound. It would be better if she could see what she's working with, but the golden glow of her healing gathers around her just the same. ]

Xiao, are you alright?

[ we have it on good authority that he just needs a bandaid!! it's probably fine!! ]

[ Ah...Psyche. Xiao isn't dying, nor is he anywhere near the verge of death, but he's at least sitting upright. ]

I'm fine. It's just a flesh wound.

[ 'Tis but a scratch!! Probably. At least it doesn't seem like they're gonna need to chop off anything, this time. ]

Sorry...to have to burden you again. How is Crea...?

I already told you that it's not a burden.

[ And she can multitask a little and look towards the arena to answer his question as she heals. Good thing they don't need to chop anything off, because her sword is currently in Waltaquin's very trustworthy hands. ]

Crea is... [ fine? hm. ] ...he's healed up. I think he'll be alright.
