You all know the drill by now even if things are a little different today, with the two deceased and the shuffling of the announcements. Things are much the same at the sandbar though, kittybots setting out seafood as the theme for this week, along with every flavor of mountain dew under the sun, including the energy drink kind. (food mod note: this is actually on brand MTN dew for once!).

Off to the side in a booth of their own are the bodies as well as attendant kittybots; simply request which body you'd like to look at and the kitty bots will direct you appropriately, as if it's difficult to tell the difference between a squid and a giant robot. Maybe they're just there trying to be helpful, they're doing their best. .

(( OOC: Welcome to your third trial! You'll have 7 hours (8PM EST/5PM PST) to vote one (1) person guilty of murder. Since this is scapegoat style, finding the correct killer is not mandatory!

[... okay, that does hurt a bit, and he can't quite hide the way he has to bite his lip as she pulls the pieces of metal out. But honestly, compared to how much losing the hand in the first place hurt, this is nothing.]

[ This is the world's worst bluff, because she's still wincing a tiny bit every time he does, but proceeding as carefully as ever. ]

... well. Aside from the ones involving protecting people, which was exactly what he'd been trying to do here. And it... worked? Sort of??]

[This is decidedly less pleasant than an explosion with flames would have been. That he could tank no problem, this a little bit less so.]

If Temenos and Zelkov don't get to me first, that is. Something tells me there might be a line.

[ This is so not the time for it... but Psyche is going to connect those sentences entirely as Shuda didn't(?) intend and give a tiny laugh. ]

I think Temenos might be a little busy.

[Good thing he is too tired and frazzled to figure out why she's laughing right now...

But at the mention of Temenos, his usual frown starts creeping back onto his face.]

I hope he's getting even more of a lecture than I am.

[He's the healer, not the tank! He's supposed to be avoiding the AoEs, not eating them to the face!]

[ Innocently: ] Oh, am I lecturing?

[ She can go harder! But she lets out a quiet sigh. ]

He really only did the same thing as you did. Provoking Kanon to get more information. Maybe he's used to being a little reckless, with healing.

And we can't afford to lose someone who can heal.

[Not after the Nomu Incident made that much very clear. Especially so if there are - or may be in the future - more of those things lurking around.]

He should be keeping that much in mind.

[Is that the very slightest edge of anger to his voice there? Perhaps...]

[ She hums quietly at that, closing her eyes and holding out her hand. Time to do a little healing on the places she's just removed shrapnel from while she thinks. ]

I don't know that that's true. We have quite a few healers. [ gently: ] If you're worried about Temenos, I think you should tell him so yourself.

[Shuda's lips part just slightly as if he's going to say something, and then he glances over to where Temenos and Beel are having what looks to be a highly-charged (albeit quiet) exchange already.]

... I don't think he needs me to tell him that.

[It isn't as though he's any good with that sort of thing, anyway.]
