TRIAL

You all know the drill by now even if things are a little different today, with the two deceased and the shuffling of the announcements. Things are much the same at the sandbar though, kittybots setting out seafood as the theme for this week, along with every flavor of mountain dew under the sun, including the energy drink kind. (food mod note: this is actually on brand MTN dew for once!).

Off to the side in a booth of their own are the bodies as well as attendant kittybots; simply request which body you'd like to look at and the kitty bots will direct you appropriately, as if it's difficult to tell the difference between a squid and a giant robot. Maybe they're just there trying to be helpful, they're doing their best. .

(( OOC: Welcome to your third trial! You'll have 7 hours (8PM EST/5PM PST) to vote one (1) person guilty of murder. Since this is scapegoat style, finding the correct killer is not mandatory!

I was really hoping to not have to do this.

[ also quick sidelong glance to make sure that beel is like. at least Some Distance Away before joshua kind of... opens his palm and starts gathering light into it.

it takes a couple of seconds, and there's the clear scent of lightning and ozone in the air and a low hum that escalates into a crackle when joshua throws his hand forwards, a flurry of white feathers falling, and--

a beam of light falls from the sky and onto the crown.

were you looking directly at the crown? you're probably like blinded for about 2 seconds from the light itself, sorry not sorry.

anyway, when the light fades, the crown is just.

gone.

disintegrated.

the surrounding sand and all that doesn't seem to be affected by the jesusbeam, weirdly enough. please don't ask me or josh about vidya logic. ]

[Yeah he is Nowhere Near this little display on purpose and even then he still gives an uncomfortable shiver.]

He's going to life a hand up to cover his eyes. Once the show is over he'll give a low whistle. Reminds me of a spell from a popular jrpg series with numbers in the title. ]
