WEEK 4; TRIAL
TRIAL
You all know the drill by now even if things are a little different today, with the two deceased and the shuffling of the announcements. Things are much the same at the sandbar though, kittybots setting out seafood as the theme for this week, along with every flavor of mountain dew under the sun, including the energy drink kind. (food mod note: this is actually on brand MTN dew for once!).
Off to the side in a booth of their own are the bodies as well as attendant kittybots; simply request which body you'd like to look at and the kitty bots will direct you appropriately, as if it's difficult to tell the difference between a squid and a giant robot. Maybe they're just there trying to be helpful, they're doing their best. .
(( OOC: Welcome to your third trial! You'll have 7 hours (8PM EST/5PM PST) to vote one (1) person guilty of murder. Since this is scapegoat style, finding the correct killer is not mandatory!
Please remember to vote before then unless you've spoken to a mod, as votes are our stand-in for AC. ))

It was floating in the water near his body.

The length is what's making me think either cane or a crude attempt at a weapon.

The cocktails would be a convenient cover-up to make it appear as though the two murders were committed by people with different powersets.

Some kinda powers were used somewhere in this, goin' off of the chaos.

... And the fact that Kallamar apparently still smelled like alcohol even after being dumped into the sea.

How much of that t-shirt is in the garbage?

So far we were operating under the assumption that two sacrifices were enough - last week went past without a formal execution and vote, as... events transpired.
They may have been thinking that if two victims died, there would simply be no need to hold trial in the first place.
Unfortunately for them, the distortion is stronger this week and not yet sated.

That makes it a little messy if it's the second one. We could be looking at one person being involved in both cases or someone heading in that direction to return to their original spot.
