You all know the drill by now even if things are a little different today, with the two deceased and the shuffling of the announcements. Things are much the same at the sandbar though, kittybots setting out seafood as the theme for this week, along with every flavor of mountain dew under the sun, including the energy drink kind. (food mod note: this is actually on brand MTN dew for once!).

Off to the side in a booth of their own are the bodies as well as attendant kittybots; simply request which body you'd like to look at and the kitty bots will direct you appropriately, as if it's difficult to tell the difference between a squid and a giant robot. Maybe they're just there trying to be helpful, they're doing their best. .

(( OOC: Welcome to your third trial! You'll have 7 hours (8PM EST/5PM PST) to vote one (1) person guilty of murder. Since this is scapegoat style, finding the correct killer is not mandatory!

Before you go, Kallamar did not have evidence of any burns on him even though he must have been covered [soaked?] in liquor. Is there a fireless way to set off that kind of glass shrapnel bomb…? Or if one could have just been broken next to him? The metal shards were not imbedded very deep.

...Unless he threw it at the assailant, and the metal shards came from them, and not anything that was on Kallamar's person.

You think he threw one of these at Skywarp then? Or someone who used metal shards and a harpoon to attack?

[Are the shards from Skywarp? Maybe we should look into that next…]

I don't know if he threw it at Skywarp, because Skywarp was not burned.

That being said, we can still check if the shards line up with the material on Skywarp's body.

I think it probably would be a good idea to compare the fragments of stuff that we ended up finding everywhere, yeah.

I examined the shards on Kallamar's body and the scraps Alice found, and compared them to the material that Skywarp is made out of.

They are not a match. We are most likely looking at another party as our culprit.

The embedded metal could be from an explosion, but I can't be 100% sure on that.

We should think about where the shards could have came from, then. Clothing, armor of some sort, weapons... What else?

Is the go-cart the right color for that kind of debris?

The go-kart was red, so unless anyone found red bits somewhere from damage I didn't catch on the kart, thaaaaaat's probably not it.

The explosion wouldn't necessarily have had to come from one of those [he has to pause to remember what Wang Lu called it] Molotov cocktails. We've got quite a varied group here when it comes to powers.

Someone may have set it off in his hands or near him without using fire. For example, someone who can make explosions or use an ability to break it apart violently without touching it.

We have a couple that can do stuff like that, don't we?

My explosions create fire. Wang Lu, Temenos, and Ibuki can all attest to that.

I don't know about Kanon's, though.

We do have a few who can. We also don't know the range of those with magic and if they could feasibly do something like that.

I wonder if magic could do it. Some spells work from a distance like that.

It's not something we can rule out definitively. Wind magic could work or maybe something that could control objects to make them burst out.
