What started with a week promising relaxation turned into something else entirely. It might be nice to try to grab a quiet moment after the whirlwind of the weekend, but there's something to be said about keeping up the momentum too.The island open to you this week, Dodo's Outlook, seems to have that in mind, or at the very least, keeping your mind occupied. All damage to the island buildings has been fixed by Monday morning at least, but noticeably there are less palm trees than before where the damage was the heaviest. Explorers too will find that the area behind the waterfall has been completely sealed off with solid rock.

Whether you're the type to commune with the nature of marine life in the aquarium, the cosmos in the planetarium, or to spin your own tale in the theater, there's plenty to do and enjoy. As always there's task to complete too, and after all you've been through by now, what's a little more bonding in the pursuit of prizes?

[The corner of his lips curls up into a pleased smirk.]

So I'm also guessing that means you'd be up for a spar.

[Because what better way to release tension than going all-out on an opponent who can definitely put up a good fight?]

[plunges]

A spar.

[ He says it under his breath, and it's immediately followed up with a nod of approval. ]

Yes, I am. I've seen your strength, and I know you will be a formidable opponent.

[ And he needs that, right now. Something that'll mirror his sparring match with Crea in terms of intensity. ]

It'll be an interesting way to learn more about you, as well.

[That smirk widens even more into something closer to an actual smile... or at least as close to one as Shuda normally gets, anyway.]

That's exactly what I was hoping to hear. It's too bad I don't have my sword on me, but I can make do.

[And before Xiao can even question what he means by that, he's jogging over to the pile of assorted floaties, boogie boards, etc. that has been so helpfully left on the beach for them and retrieving... a pool noodle.

On the plus side, using this means that he really won't have to hold back. On the minus side... well, it's not like he has much dignity left anyway. Still, he'll use his metal hand to twist a chunk of the pool noodle off until it's around the length of a katana just to make it more comfortable for him.

There, that will do nicely.]

[plunges]

[ Xiao was about to ask if Shuda would like unarmed combat, but it seems like Shuda himself is without a weapon to wield, so Xiao assumes this will be a hand-to-hand spar.

And then Shuda goes over to the floaties...and grabs a pool noodle. Xiao isn't entirely sure what it is, nor does he understand what Shuda's up to, until he modifies the noodle to resemble a sword of some sort.

Not a bad idea. Xiao walks over to do the same, and constructs another noodle into something that mirrors the length of his spear. There's a small hint of a smile that crosses his lips as he realizes how ridiculous this looks, but honestly, it doesn't bother him much. He'd rather feel embarrassed over pool noodle sparring than worry about Wei Wuxian's life for the rest of the day.

He looks over at Shuda, and backs up a little to put some distance between them. ]

If this will suffice, then I am ready to begin.

[And that's all the warning he gives before he lunges forward, pool noodle sword curving in a strike aimed at Xiao's left side. It's more of a test than anything else-- he's fully expecting it to be dodged or deflected rather than actually striking home. He wants to see how Xiao will react - whether he will attempt to parry it or dodge it - before he truly begins fighting in earnest.]
