What started with a week promising relaxation turned into something else entirely. It might be nice to try to grab a quiet moment after the whirlwind of the weekend, but there's something to be said about keeping up the momentum too.The island open to you this week, Dodo's Outlook, seems to have that in mind, or at the very least, keeping your mind occupied. All damage to the island buildings has been fixed by Monday morning at least, but noticeably there are less palm trees than before where the damage was the heaviest. Explorers too will find that the area behind the waterfall has been completely sealed off with solid rock.

Whether you're the type to commune with the nature of marine life in the aquarium, the cosmos in the planetarium, or to spin your own tale in the theater, there's plenty to do and enjoy. As always there's task to complete too, and after all you've been through by now, what's a little more bonding in the pursuit of prizes?

That's a good question! And one I don't really have an answer for you on, sorry?

I dunno. I don't really spend all that much time around other people, so I honestly have no idea. I've been alone for a pretty long time? I mean, more recently that's been different, sure, not just counting this place, but it's not like I've really had a reason to see whether I'm any good of a teacher or not, sooooo...

[ plucks at the strings a little experimentally. ]

If people wanna join in and follow my lead, I'm not opposed. Should I play something else and see what happens?

This is your chance, then - I wouldn't interfere with your chance to call others in to the fray. I'm afraid, however, that my musical prowess is limited.

Hee hee. You know, before this week I don't think we would have had any way to tell who knew their way around an instrument or not? Plus I don't think any of us would know the same stuff ... What to do, I wonder.

[ snaps fingers. cupping his hands, he calls out to the greater crowd. ]

Hey, anyone who knows instruments! Wanna show off to Waltaquin or try to impress people by joining in and improving your way through accompaniment for a piece you've probably never heard before?

[ then, back to a reasonable volume for walt: ]

I'll start in a bit anyway even if there's no takers, I was just kind of curious.

Sure, count me in, I can probably think of something, I've dabbled on the writing part of things before~

[ zelkov will eventually show up here with the acoustic guitar he was practicing on earlier. sounds like kind of a fun challenge. ]

[ oh good, they've got takers! let's make a quick looksee at what instruments they've got to work with ... okay, this might work!

with no particular reserve, magolor will get up from his seat to hang out a little closer to where the piano (and zelkov) is (are) at. let's try ... this. magolor will play them in slowly, the opening building gradually up in stages before bursting into a flurry of notes played by bow on strings.

after the grand, dramatic introduction is finished though, the violin settles and quietens into a more sedate, relaxed if still prominent melody, opening up more space for the other instruments to join in and play along. it's a pretty freeform piece, with plenty of room for the others to stretch their musical limbs, so to speak. ]

[ he takes a moment to figure out at least the basics of the rhythm, beat and chord progression, and by the time joshua joins in he's got a pretty decent supporting harmony to magolor's violin solo, and of course, once the violin settles, his own piano solo crests towards the front with a flourish, before fading back to allow zelkov and his guitar time to shine now ]

[ zelkov is content to keep to the background as accompaniment to the melody, focusing more on maintaining the rhythm, but he'll do something a little more interesting for a few measures before returning to a backup role. ]

[ and that's his cue to pick back up where zelkov left off, segueing back into the role of lead as his bow draws out an elegant, driving melody that just keeps rising up and up and up, before once again stepping back into supporting rhythms and flourishes to let joshua's piano take on a more prominent role as the piece seems to reach a climax.

all the while, he's whirling back and forth as much as a piece this dramatic calls for. listen, if this is meant to be a performance he might as well lean into it as much as he can while still playing along. ]
