What started with a week promising relaxation turned into something else entirely. It might be nice to try to grab a quiet moment after the whirlwind of the weekend, but there's something to be said about keeping up the momentum too.The island open to you this week, Dodo's Outlook, seems to have that in mind, or at the very least, keeping your mind occupied. All damage to the island buildings has been fixed by Monday morning at least, but noticeably there are less palm trees than before where the damage was the heaviest. Explorers too will find that the area behind the waterfall has been completely sealed off with solid rock.

Whether you're the type to commune with the nature of marine life in the aquarium, the cosmos in the planetarium, or to spin your own tale in the theater, there's plenty to do and enjoy. As always there's task to complete too, and after all you've been through by now, what's a little more bonding in the pursuit of prizes?

If this place needs the presence and death of beings with power, then experimenting with creating such beings could prove beneficial - if you disregard ethics.

What happened on Sunday probably was for more research purposes than anything, since whatever distortion by the waterfall had already disappeared by then?

That said, if their research is what's causing the distortions...

The distortions can even be some kind of side effect from bringing us from different worlds. Or maybe it's them bringing more of those things here. He did say most things are cranky when you bring them from another world.

I do find it awfully convenient that the distortions happen every time on a newly revealed island.

Equivalent exchange rule. They may be expanding the places and using our powers or death as a way to stabilize the new place to get to final goal. The second sacrifice may be tied into bringing those things.

If they only need a sample of DNA, then murdering would give them plenty of that to use for it as well. [ Giving an exaggerated shiver ] Imagining one of those things using my DNA. No thank you.

There are so many more ways to stabilize an unstable dimension even if it specifically needs power, so if this is what they're doing I'm going to be seriously annoyed.
