Good morning, sunshines, sungems, and wild partiers of the night! No matter what kind of night you had, you'll find yourself awakening to an energetic tune blasting out from the island speaker system, one that more than a few of you will recognize -- you won't be able to escape it, but why would you want to?

Music is a great way to start your day, and surely, this is a great omen for Fridays at this resort. There's at least one reason to get up dancing, as the wings of the warp phenomenon have vanished with the morning mist and the sea breeze; Kingfisher's Retreat boasts a beautiful, uninterrupted waterfall that reflects the morning sun once more, and the waves at Sungem's Peak are largely peaceful. Even the customary burst of sound and pressure was a little mollified by the addition of the new soundtrack. You know what that means by now, but hopefully the music will add a pep in your step.

[... wow that sure is Vergilius' ENTIRE HEART MISSING THERE, that's great. Okay. The immediate cause of death is pretty obvious, so he's going to go grab the nearest thing that can be used as a container to fill with water so that he can try to wash some of that blood off and get a better look at the bruising underneath all of that blood.]

[Well, as Shuda wipes some of the blood away... it'll become quite obvious that there's not much of Vergilius' body that isn't covered in bruises. We're talking arms, torso, legs... The worst of it looks to be on the torso and hands, though there are some gnarly ones on the upper thighs and we're assuming he's still face-up for this. All of the marks are consistent with the result of blunt force trauma.

Also, he'll notice that while most of the blood patterns are consistent with it being splattered or splashed over the body, there's obviously a great deal that flowed from the chest but also more blood on the sides of his head.]

[Time to take a closer look at his head! Shuda used to be a bounty hunter, he knows a whole lot about injuries and he knows that head wounds bleed like crazy even if they aren't very serious. So what sort of wounds are we talking about on the head here?]

[With the blood cleared away he'll be able to notice discoloration around the ears, and if he checks the rest of the head, there will be a small bruise on the back of the head as well.]

[Hmm! How small are we talking here? And if he takes a closer look at Vergilius' ears, will he find anything unusual?]

[The head bruise is between 1-4 inches and is consistent with an impact injury.

He will just see the aforementioned discoloration and traces of the blood that was cleaned! Depending on how much it was cleaned, of course. There was definitely blood in and all over both ears, though it was mixed with some discharge as well.]

Just to check, is this discharge clear?]

[Hard to tell in all the mess and blood mix, but it is possible, yes.]

That said, now that the body's cleaned up a bit he can probably get a better look at the rest of it as well, so he can always poke around a bit more.]

He’ll find bruises across the back of Vergilius’ shoulders, consistent with impact injury.]

Cool, cool. Some of the pieces are starting to come together in his mind (he thinks), so that does help.

Anything else on the rest of his body if he gives that a quick check too? (AND NO, HE IS NOT TAKING OFF THE PANTS, DON'T EVEN ASK)]

I've found a knife, but I reckon it might not have been enough to take down our formidable Red-Eyed grouch. It seems to be covered in internal organic matter.

Still, if you'd like to compare what you've found to see if the method matches the implement, then by all means.

Let me see it.

[He doubts very much that a knife would be capable of doing that much damage, but he'll take it to compare just in case.

As someone quite familiar with bladed weaponry, does the knife match up with the damage done to Verg's chest?]

[He'll find that the knife could feasibly match the hole, though it's a pretty crudely and raggedly cut out hole.]
