//EXECUTION; WK2
Execution
Come Sunday morning, another announcement rings out through the island, though you probably have a better idea what it's about, and of the person speaking on the other end. According to your administrators, two sacrifices per week are required, and that time has come.
Unlike earlier, the kitty bots won't force anyone to go, but they will cheerfully inform all island goers that the execution is starting soon and they shouldn't miss out! The sandbar has also reappeared, a fitting enough stage for condemning a life as well as taking one. Both your administrators are present, along with two figures directly in the middle of the amphitheater. (( OOC: Executions are voluntary except for the executed and executioner. The path back to the island will also remain for the entirety of the execution, so characters may leave whenever they wish as well.))

[And here he is, nonetheless.]
I don't want to be tricked any more. So I'm watching until the end.

[ crea nods, watching quietly the execution unfold. something about what sonya says…
… ]
He’s a really dramatic guy, isn’t he?

They live differently in the City. From what I've heard, anyway.
Maybe it's better, that it's two people who are familiar with the same world. There's some sort of even playing field.

[ crea hums in thought, eyes narrowed as he considers a hypothetical. if that were him and sion… how would he…
would he even be able to? ]
Maybe. Though in my world there’s a lot of crazy, overpowered people. Not sure if I could butt heads with them, haha…

[For various reasons.]
No need to think about it now, though. You're here as you are. Make the most of it.

[ crea stares blankly at beelzebub for a couple seconds, before turning back towards the execution with a wry smile. ]
Here as myself, huh? I guess you’re right.

[ crea turns towards beelz for a second in surprise, but quickly relaxes as he continues to watch.
truly time to watch a man run into hell. ]
Damn. I kind of regret not talking to Sonya more. Hindsight 20/20, I guess.

Mn.
Humans are complicated. A vicious person can still have some good dreams.

[ don’t look so down, beelz! crea mimics the demon’s previous actions by nudging him on the shoulder with his own. ]
Dreams and hopes are the strongest part of a person. They can even completely warp the person into something different— kind of like when you don’t eat for a long time.

...Mn.
A human can choose and change their dreams. Even if it's just in their mind. My dreams have changed over centuries, too.
There's only so much you can change with a dream, though.

… ]
Most humans don’t have centuries. But it’s true, some of our dreams have the possibility of changing, too.
[ there’s not much else that can be done here. sonya is dead. he stands up. ]
Though some dreams can take over your entire life. Those type of dreams… they can’t be changed so easily. [ …he turns away from the arena, glancing at beelzebub instead. ] I imagine that’s the type of dream that Sonya had. Something that was all-consuming.

...
Would you ever have a dream like that, Crea? Something you'd be willing to warp yourself over?

[ ... ]
I wonder. I've seen what that sort of thing can do to a person... it's scary, y'know? But to say that it's impossible for me to ever fall into that sort of thing would also be a lie.

So long as you've made your decision if or when it happens, and stick with your reasoning. Whatever happens after that, even heaven or hell can't really stop.
[He plucks a bag of popcorn from one of the fleeing catbots.]
Come on. Let's get out of here.
