The sun rises over sparkling waves and beaches -- and there are far more of them now, double the amount of sun and surf across the two unusual islands you've been forced to call home. Not that you were able to see the breaking dawn, given that you found yourself falling asleep at the stroke of midnight, regardless of how tired you were.

Your restful(?) sleep is brought to a sudden end at 7am with a booming whipcrack of sound; those on Seagull's Playground will hear it first, much louder than the karaoke windows shattering last night. Indeed, a window or two may crack in the arcade, but at least nothing else breaks as a new shockwave flashes out on that island. Those on Sungem's Peak will merely feel a stronger breeze and see some higher waves, but they'll certainly hear an echo of everything as they come to.

Given your sudden sleep and confinement (if you took notice in the midst of everything you were up to), it's understandably harder to keep track of your cabana-and-islandmates.

Now that you're very likely very awake -- perhaps it's time to take a look around outside, and see if this week brings better tidings than the last.

[ Xiao will leave the body to Billy so he can take a look at the go-kart. What's the state of this thing looking like? ]

[This cute purple go-kart has seen better days, but it’s not completely wrecked or anything. It does look like it’s crashed into the side of the course, though, hanging slightly off the top of the incline due to the low wall made for golf balls rather than go-karts.

It’s also smoking faintly. Poor thing.]

[plunges]

[ Yikes. Hm...he's unfamiliar with this kart's components, so he'll go ahead and take a picture of the state of the kart, if that's allowed! If not, that's fine. He tried.

He will look inside the kart first, though. Anything out of place? Footprints on any pedals for instance, maybe something fell out of someone's pocket...? ]

[The U-PINION’s functions are back online, so yes, he can take a crunchy picture of the kart!

As for the interior, it looks pretty clear — until he gets down to the floor beneath the driver’s seat. There’s a couple of gumdrops wedged tightly under there.]

[plunges]

[ Oh, hm. Xiao reaches under there and pulls out the gumdrops, inspects them. Is there anything on these? Blood, perhaps...? Or anything else to note about the gumdrops?

Anything wedged behind them? ]

[killerwaves]

[The gumdrops look clear of blood or other substances! Of note, though, is the fact that once he clears them out he’ll realize they were wedged on top of the gas pedal.

Also, even though the pedal has been freed, there’s no sound from the go-kart at all.]

[plunges]

[ He will take a picture of the two pedals, then, because he's not entirely sure how this works. All he knows is that the right pedal makes the kart go forward. How many gumdrops were there, and how large are they?

If there's nothing more to the pedal area, he will do one more look inside of the rest of the kart before moving to inspect the outside. What can he find at a first glance? ]

[There’s three of them, about the size of a person’s head so they’re fairly substantial. And since Xiao has been digging in them and generally lugging them around, he’ll also be aware that the gumballs are metal with the appropriate heftiness. These are some heavy duty props.

As for the outside of the kart, he’ll certainly notice some scuffs and dings on the front, and at least one dent.]

[plunges]

[ Archons, these are heavier than they look. He can carry them, but he'll put them off to the side for now. Anything else lodged on top of or near the pedals? ]

[Nope, the interior of the go-kart looks as a go-kart should, it’s the outside that’s a bit off-color.]

[plunges]

[ What's making the outside look off? He'll circle around and see what he can find at a first glance. ]

[killerwaves]

[The fender’s got some impressive scuffing to one side and a sizeable dent — it looks like the kart ran into something pretty hard, and the positioning doesn’t match its current crash on the golf course.]

[plunges]

[ Snapping a picture of the dent, too.

So, where is the dent relative to where it is on the golf course? Is it on the opposite end of where the kart collided with the course, for instance? ]

[killerwaves]

[It’s higher up than where it hit the golf course — speaking of which, the wall is low enough that the kart would only have really hit with its wheels and the bottom of the fender.

The scuff and the dent are roughly on the same side, that is the left side of the front of the kart when you’re facing it.]

[plunges]

[ Hm...interesting. Are any other parts of the car that are dented? ]

[killerwaves]

[ No other parts of the go-cart have been dented or scuffed up, nope! ]

[plunges]

[ Cool. He will check the tires (and under the kart, too) for any other weird things that may be hiding, like the gumdrops. ]

[killerwaves]

[ Since Xiao is getting up and around there, he can probably eventually notice damage to the engine, but that's essentially and basically relatively clear as originally from the impact made to the go-kart. ]

[plunges]

[ Noted! Photo taken of the engine. He's so confused but it seems important.

Anything off about the wheels? ]

[killerwaves]

[ The wheels look like they have been spared travesty. ]

[plunges]

[ Yeehaw. How's the steering wheel looking? ]

[killerwaves]

[ The steering wheel so happens to be in-tact as well! Seems like there are no other points of damage as well on this go-kart due to Xiao having looked things over rather thoroughly. ]
