The sun rises over sparkling waves and beaches -- and there are far more of them now, double the amount of sun and surf across the two unusual islands you've been forced to call home. Not that you were able to see the breaking dawn, given that you found yourself falling asleep at the stroke of midnight, regardless of how tired you were.

Your restful(?) sleep is brought to a sudden end at 7am with a booming whipcrack of sound; those on Seagull's Playground will hear it first, much louder than the karaoke windows shattering last night. Indeed, a window or two may crack in the arcade, but at least nothing else breaks as a new shockwave flashes out on that island. Those on Sungem's Peak will merely feel a stronger breeze and see some higher waves, but they'll certainly hear an echo of everything as they come to.

Given your sudden sleep and confinement (if you took notice in the midst of everything you were up to), it's understandably harder to keep track of your cabana-and-islandmates.

Now that you're very likely very awake -- perhaps it's time to take a look around outside, and see if this week brings better tidings than the last.

Anyway, careful where you step, it looks like there's glass on the railway. ]

[Unless Beel eats his glasses and gives Changsheng another job to do seeing eye snek…, Baizhu does still have those!!!

Glass… looks like Changsheng must hitch a ride since she forgot her shoes.

Is it shattered or in chunks, or have an obvious source?]

It's shattered into shards and there's no obvious source. ]

Is there any kind of large object that could have hit something to make it shatter?]

[ Nothing else is around, except for the rail way itself. We'll note that it does have a metal rail that the kitty bots utilize to zip back across, though it's paused in operation for obvious reasons right now. ]

[Lobelia emerges nevertheless! About that shattered glass... is there any blood or viscera on it?]

[ There's no blood or viscera on it (your priorities Lobelia), at least from what you can see with it lying on the ground. ]

[What a shame! He'll pick up some shards of glass and turn them over in his palm in case there's anything about the glass that can't be noted at a glance. If only the shards were covered in pasta sauce...]

[ Normally you should be careful when handling glass shards, and this is no exception but—...glass isn't supposed to be mushy. Huh.

As Lobelia handles the shards, the edges will soften right in his hands. ]

[Innnnteresting. Too bad these sorts of soft, mushy materials don't make for very good ASMR, but he's squishing and rolling and probing the glass gloop anyway to see what happens to its physicality when he does.

Oh, and he's gonna give it a lick. For science.]

[ Well now his fingers are kinda sticky. Wouldn't this be funny if it was glue?

Fortunately for Lobelia though, it's actually rather sweet and clearly sugar. Yummm. ]

[Hey, he's had worse things on his fingers! Sugar, eh...? Aside from the remnants on the ground (and in Lobelia's mouth), are there any signs of where this "glass" came from? Any trails?]

[ No trails, and no clear indication where this "glass" came from. There's not that much of it all things considered, but sugar glass does glint in the sun just like regular glass so it's pretty noticeable. ]

[While Dr. Snake is looking for anything else out of place around the railway, Lobelia's going to give those bits of sugar one last lookover. Is there anything else notable about them?]

[ Nope! Lobelia is free to go body touch as he pleases.

[Hell yeah. Time to thoroughly appraise the killer's handiwork. Off he goes!]

[Strange… no footprints or anything out of place leading to or from the rails? Broken kittybots?]

[ Well the railway is a mix of wood and metal so you're not leaving footprints normally. No broken kitty bots in sight either just the broken heart of 808 in mini-golf. ]

[ Nope, that's it! At least Baizhu can take in the sight of Lobelia eating evidence??? ]
