Well, this ain't the islands anymore. You might see pieces of the island, a go-kart floating in the distance, the waterfall flowing upside down, a giant lollipop, all floating in what's similar to a nebula in space. Actually, it's closer to the void you've all grown to know so well over the weeks.

Fret not because the air here is breathable even if the landscape defies physics. Scattered throughout the "land" are shadowy portals, each leading to all of your homeworlds, at the exact time you had left off. Manipulating space-time is convenient like that.

Your u-pinions somehow, have survived, and they'll continue to function as an intranet between all of you. Oh, and everyone will gain the power to return to this space whenever they'd like and utilize the portals as they wish.

Your vacation is finally over, but this doesn't have to be goodbye.

All right, all right. [ That part was a joke she wanted to say since idly bringing it up in the meeting. She matches the swing with a spring in her step. ] I was actually thinking a hoodie with a more pixelated theme. Promise I'll try my best to avoid mushrooms.

[handsheld]

Hoodies are comfy, but hard to fight in. I could use more gaming clothes though, but yeah no mushrooms.

[ His two modes: destruction and gaming. Not that he really minds the joke but still: nyaf.

He turns them abruptly once he spots a particular piece of floating wreckage: they must be getting close. ]

Good point, that's why I transformed later. [ Also to keep the plushie safe. Can't forget that. ] I can try to roll for something easy to fight in and see what happens.

[ Come on dice maiden RNG, give them something good. But if it still gives her a hoodie, it's still a win as long as the print isn't terrible. At least that's her logic here as she follows along. As they turn, her eyes fall upon the floating wreckage for a moment, curious. Something about all the rubble around feels a little nostalgic. ]

Hmm, what was that?

Whichever, just not pajamas.

[ tbh.. he's pretty likely to sleep in the hoodie, he just won't say that.

he slows down momentarily, holding his free hand out for a second.]

Think it's this way. Or somethin' else that's still working is this way, but it's hard to tell in this place.

Right, not pajamas. [ While Moravia does laugh, she also nods in agreement. The point is something to wear after all.

She slows down when he does, eyes drifting towards his free hand. ]

How mysterious. It's starting to feel like one of those dungeons.

There better be loot at the end.

[ He focuses on finding what he just pinged (ty radio quirk), and it's too long before they stumble across a weird looking machine, circular in shape and iridescent. ]

This is it. Guess the machine has good luck to not blow up.

Can't have an end of a level without one.

[ When she sees the machine, her free hand rises to poke at the ear that Ibuki wears a tassel earring on. ]

Hmm, it does sort of look like a charm? Guess that literally makes it a good luck charm.

[ That's probably not how it works. ]

[handsheld]

I'd buy that. Me or you first?

[ He'll explain how it works after. ]

As the challenger, I can go first?

[ Here's hoping she doesn't roll a 1 and get like a mushroom kigurumi. ]

[ With a grin. ]

Sure. [ He walks over to the machine and presses a few button, definitely a code or two, or three until the orb lights up green. ]

Go for it. You need to pick the "category" but it's still kinda a crapshoot either way.

[ With an exaggerated flourish, she reaches out to choose something related to clothes. (1d20 roll: 19) ]

Here goes. Let's hope I don't pull a mushroom.

[ Moments later, from however it shows up, an entire outfit drops in Shigaraki's size, complete with red hoodie and jeans. Moravia examines it with great enthusiasm before holding out to him with a wide grin. ]

Red, but not a mushroom at all. Works for me.

[ And she didn't even have to say kuwabara, kuwabara. ]

[ He thought his luck was good. ]

This is really sweet! [ He's impressed.

He takes the outfit after admiring it another moment with a full grin. ]

It's badass and not stuffy at all.

[ She looks incredibly pleased at that reaction, leaning forward. ]

Hehe, great to hear. I really do like wearing the clothes you gave me—

[ Which, now that Moravia thinks about it, is kind of weird to say when she's not wearing any of them? (Didn't want them damaged in a battle after all.) So before she finishes her sentence, a shower of sparkles surrounds her as she throws the fox ears she's carrying into the air. ]

[ And Ibuki, wearing that black and white hoodie, shows up to grab the airborne ears and finish that sentence. ]

—so I'm glad my luck rolled something nice. I think red looks cool on you.

[ Still smiling wide, he places the fox ears back on his head. ]

Since I can do this kinda stuff, I wanna keep doin' it for you. I want you to be happy and get whatever you want.

[ dodges kao in the floorboards about sugarbaby.

really, this is who he is though. ]

But your luck is your own, not that you need it. I think red's supposed to be lucky too? Maybe if its from you.

And I want the same for you too, if you'll let me. Seeing you smile makes me happy, so that works out for the both of us.

[ dodges kao in the floorboards as well about simping. folks, he's too far gone, and regretting absolutely nothing. ]

Well then, that means red's lucky now. That counts as making our own luck, right?

[ might as well make it lucky through the sheer force of will. ]

I haven't stopped you yet, have I?

[ For some reason that makes him laugh, reminding him of how Joshua remarked on their relationship during the last encounter.

And he wants to make something clear anyway—he reaches out for Ibuki's hand, taking it and placing it against his chest, a mirror of that night at the arcade. The corners of his lips have no sharp edges, in the way the light and shadows fall between the two of them. ]

You're special to me in a way that's different from everyone else. Includin' the league. So yeah, you can make your own luck. And we can do anything.

[ Even if they don't have words for it, even if Shigaraki can't put a name to it. He's both hollow but also more present than he's ever been, and for the latter, the part that beats and feels; incredulously more than just pure destruction, he knows Ibuki has touched all of them. Is touching all of them. ]

Not at all.

[ He laughs as well, warm and fond. That's why they're like this, isn't it?

If someone asks now for a name to all this, Ibuki has no answer ready. What he can admit is that he's acutely aware of the gradual increase of his emotions' intensity. Less of a background noise on a television set, more of an ongoing stage as an audience. Everything that's happened here has shifted how he talks, feels, and smiles. How he expresses emotion, how he grounds himself. But in the end, it's still him, all something that was always there.

It's even more vivid in feel when Shigaraki takes his hand and places it on his own chest, the memory it recalls etched into his mind.

Something like a void continues to swirl inside, simultaneously emptiness and weight where the human and monster in him should exist. But as he is right now, he can handle the doubt and what-ifs. Acknowledge they're there and that he doesn't need them anymore. A conclusion he couldn't have come to on his own. The Ibuki standing here right now wouldn't be the same without Shigaraki.

And that's just one reason Shigaraki has become someone incredibly important to him. Someone he cares about, and yet differently from those he loves back in Tau. He doesn't know how, just that Yukinami, Hyuuga, and Yuuki evoke disparate sentiments. So something about the way Shigaraki openly says that throws him a little off center. But this time his eyes don't wander, looking straight forward into his eyes.

With an affectionate smile from somewhere deep down, he takes Shigaraki's other hand to place over his own heart. While they were mirroring the arcade, this time he wants to evoke the memories of their clasped hands that day at the waterfall. Their deal, a promise for a future built on what they have now.

Time to see what of this he can put into words. ]

I don't know how, but I do think of you differently as well, Tomura. Even in how I treasure the time we spend together.

[ His fingers curl around the hand he's holding. ]

And yeah. Yeah, we can. It's us, we can do whatever we want.

[ Truly nothing can stop them now. Something about the thought's weirdly cheering, almost humorous. His heart beats a little faster. Suddenly he wants to start laughing again, an impulse bubbling up like the sea foam he's never seen before this place. And so he does, even while they're still standing like this, hands on chests. ]

I love saying that.

[ Ibuki doesn't have a concrete name for those feelings, but that's fine. He just has to meet him where he's at, living in the moment. Like they always do. This may no longer be quite that island, but he'll count this as one of its memories anyway. ]

[ If Ibuki's laughter is seafoam than Shigaraki's is a current following in its wake, spreading out with both impulse and power. Maybe part of this all too is that never once has Shigaraki sensed fear or resistance; you don't fight rip currents but go along with them. ]

Same goes for me. [ ...even if the word love will never cross his lips, the shape is there. Negative space works like positive space in that way. ]

So we're gonna keep saying it wherever we are, whenever we want. [ This is the best way he can count the future, as nonsensical as it is. But they don't need sense either, he lost his a long time ago now. It's fine, more than fine, as that's gained him so many things, including this.

This gentle squeeze of their hands, the thrusting of their heartbeats.]

[ A strange sight they must make laughing here with how their hands are arranged. Still, it's somehow fitting for these two who never once, or ever will, fit societal norms.

The path forward from here is clear, his mind made up during this unexpected vacation. And to think that this whole series of events started off from their desires to destroy. Life sure has a strange sense of humor. But he's accepted that it never really made much sense anyway.

He's comfortable with so much now: what they are, where they stand, and where they'll go. Even his feelings, as hard as it is for him to comprehend them on a level that others seem to do intuitively. Something about accepting their right to exist without needing to be understood is strangely freeing. If he had to describe the sensation, perhaps it's like sinking into a fluffy cloud to stargaze. Mellow and relaxed. Not off-balance at all. ]

Hehe, sounds like a wonderful time. All the more reason for me to send updates whenever something's particularly fun.

[ Even if it takes a while to get an answer back, it's fine. He believes in Shigaraki and his judgment. Plus, his mind, feeling strangely lighter right now, tells him it's something else to look forward to. Like the walks they promised each other that day, hand-in-hand.

This world may have ended, but their convictions remain. ]

It'll give me somethin' to do during boring meetings, so yeah. [ He has to sit in on those given his place nowadays, but also in case he ever needs to steer them back on track. Ibuki's probably realized it by now, but Shigaraki's a good listener even if he only seems to offer conversation on whims rather than in the usual give and take of discussions.

But as they both know, they're unconventional in all the ways. ]

But hey, I said I'd show my luck too. Whaddya want?

That works. You and your multitasking. [ He grins at the image popping up in his head. Complete with a suit, because why not? (Pfft.) Too bad he couldn't do that during the last meeting even if he wanted to, opting to play that one game on his U-PINION instead.

Putting that aside for a moment, he almost mentions suits again just to see his reaction again. At least until another memory pops to mind, one much closer to what they're doing right now. ]

Hmm, remember that talk about accessories a while back? I wonder what it'd give you if you rolled for something you could wear during a fight.

[handsheld]

Not even sure what that would be at this point, but sure. [ He'll need to move his hands for this, but that's fine. This wasn't the first time they've been like this, and it evidently won't be the last.

Time to RNG and... a 9. Could be better, could be worse, which nets this leather bracelet in sunshine yellow since we're not allowed on brand colors. ]

...huh. This is jewelry or something, right?

No idea either, but that should make it fun. [ It sure won't with how these two roll, but he's more than happy with that.

Anyhow, he's tilting his head at that shade of yellow... It's pretty much the color scheme of the Blooms' field leader, a thought he immediately banishes from his mind. Yeah, let's not think about that superhero group here and appreciate the color on its own lemony merits. He leans a little forward to examine it closer. ]

Looks like a bracelet to me. Wonder what that metal shape's supposed to be...one of the cat robots?

[ The top part kind of looks like lopsided ears? Maybe. ]
