Execution

Like always, no one is forced to assemble on the sandbar for execution, but given the verdict of yesterday you might feel obliged to follow the kittybots for various reasons. Things have been cleared up since the mess of trial, as always, though no amount of effort can block out the continued muted wailing of the warped whirlpools over the waves -- they sound a bit closer, now, in fact. The shimmer of the phenomenon is visible from Seagull's Playground, too, as though peeking whimsically over the horizon at the fruits of its own labor.

And those fruits are quite visible, in the form of two figures paraded out in front of everyone once again, down in the bowl of the amphitheater.

The administrators are present as usual, as are the sundry kittybots with snacks; this week they're offering cute cookies perhaps (in)appropriately themed. And of course there's milk, because you can't serve cookies without them.

Not necessarily. Love doesn't just end once one of them dies.

["Then light us fight God," Temenos says, and she does actually laugh, the sound dripping out of her mouth.]

[ somehow, the moment that temenos says that is the moment that crea stops being sickos. he no longer feels enjoyment in the fight, but perhaps an inkling of concern for what's going to happen next.

No, I don't think I know anyone that was anything like Rchimedes.

[ maybe his boss, once upon a time, considering that story he likes to tell over and over, but destroying worlds for the sake of making everyone equally unhappy isn't quite the same. ]

What would you do, if you met someone like him?

Oh, I'd look into him until I understood his heart and then rip it out, probably.

[ that's not all too dissimilar to what sion did, no? replace ripping out the heart with decapitation...

[Waltaquin's gaze stayed on the sand for maybe a moment longer than it should have, but it picks back up again to follow Beelzebub and Temenos.]

[ he continues following temenos and beelzebub's movements along with walt, the vague memories of cecily and lake coming into the back of his mind.

he calmly turns back towards the center, where beelzebub and temenos continue to struggle, and he lets out a huge sigh.

Yeah. [ he nods. ] I think it’d be painful as hell.

[Waltaquin is silent after that Appropriately, the flash hurts her head like hell, and it hurts more the longer she stares at it. It burns like creation.

While they're still fixed here, she speaks quietly and almost unable to hear her own voice.]
