Three dead, one vote. This might be a pit of a pickle, huh? Perhaps appropriately, the kittybots are serving pickles of all flavors today, along with food that might remind you of your childhood like ants on a log, gummy worm sundaes and adorable toast in sweet and savory profiles. To drink, are their best attempts at replicating the DD refreshers with a whole array of silly straws.

Off to the side in a booth of their own are the bodies as well as attendant kittybots (well two bodies and one arm); simply request which body you'd like to look at and the kitty bots will direct you appropriately, given the number of arms floating around. The kittybots continue to do their best.

(( OOC: Welcome to your third trial! You'll have 7 hours (8PM EST/5PM PST) to vote one (1) person guilty of murder. Since this is scapegoat style, finding the correct killer is not mandatory!

Did you? Did you care last week when we let a killer go free? Did it matter to you who among us killed and who didn't, as long as you got to keep those you hold dear?

I’ve made peace with losing Xiao. I already know I’ll probably have to say goodbye, and I’m not going to hold my breath that I’ll ever see him or any of the rest of you when I leave this place, but you know - that’s just what life is! It’s losing people over and over and over again.

If it was Xiao that was dead, I wouldn’t be acting like this. If Xiao was the one who had killed Zelkov, I’d want him held accountable even if I couldn’t be the one to do it myself.

[He takes a deep breath and lets it out.]

Do you really think everyone is that selfish? That everyone will prioritize their hurt and their love over everything and everyone else?

[ She's just going to look at him.

She doesn't even have words for this. This whole time, she's watched everyone here do exactly that. Skywarp is dead? Who cares, because we don't care for Skywarp. Someone killed him? Who cares, we can keep playing house together!

Justice, only when it suits them.

And now Beelzebub has ripped apart three people. And Lacus is the one accused of being selfish for being angry with him, after having bitten back her rage and hurt the whole time.

She doesn't have words for this.

All she has is immeasurable disappointment and even through the empty pupils, that much is very very clear. ]

[It wouldn’t be the first time someone’s looked at him like that. It hardly makes him flinch, truthfully, but he’s too stubborn to stand back. Lashing out at Beelzebub grants them nothing - but does it make Lacus feel better? Does clinging to the moral high ground give her anything at all? Everyone here is a monster.

Every single one of them.

Maybe he crossed a line, but it seems pointless to lash out to one of the few people on this island who actually feels remorseful for what they’ve done, but if Lacus writes him off so be it.

It doesn’t hurt any more then the rest of his failures.]

[Lacus can decide for herself how sincere or sarcastic he’s being, because he’s just going to wash his hands of all of this.
