TRIAL

Three dead, one vote. This might be a pit of a pickle, huh? Perhaps appropriately, the kittybots are serving pickles of all flavors today, along with food that might remind you of your childhood like ants on a log, gummy worm sundaes and adorable toast in sweet and savory profiles. To drink, are their best attempts at replicating the DD refreshers with a whole array of silly straws.

Off to the side in a booth of their own are the bodies as well as attendant kittybots (well two bodies and one arm); simply request which body you'd like to look at and the kitty bots will direct you appropriately, given the number of arms floating around. The kittybots continue to do their best.

(( OOC: Welcome to your third trial! You'll have 7 hours (8PM EST/5PM PST) to vote one (1) person guilty of murder. Since this is scapegoat style, finding the correct killer is not mandatory!

The ring is Zelkov's. He used it in order to transform into the white haired stronger version of himself that we have seen before.

Do you think he would have wanted to keep it safe? [ Just to kill that theory in one go ] His prints were the only ones on the door, and I don't want to go back to it later on.

... I don't know. The ring was the source of his powers - they were borrowed from someone else, for the sake of battle.

So while I understand that he'd want to keep the ring out of other people's hands, his whole arm....

[ She trails off. She has no idea what to make out of the dismemberment. ]

This might sound stupid, but a hand on ice - and his fingerprints on the door. Maybe he just wanted to be able to reattach it later? Like...keepin' it fresh?

[ He feels stupid suggesting it but it's all he's thinking of. ]

We do have a number of healers here. That is a possibility.

Lots of healers and no way to wake 'em up until morning, so...if he made it out of whatever initial confrontation maybe it was a priority to keep it safe 'till everyone woke up?

This sounds plausible for him to try. An attempt to reattach would be better than counting his arm as a loss entirely.

I mean, it's... possible, I guess.

I mean, I can't imagine Zelkov-san removing it himself. It was probably whoever killed him, because using that ring might have given Zelkov-san the advantage in their fight...

[What with the whole white haired ghost powerup or whatever was going on there.]

So if he was able to make a break for it, maybe that's what he wanted to do...?

Yeah, I don't see a damn reason to remove it himself unless poison or somethin' but the people who saw it didn't mention shit that seemed off, so...I'm assumin' it got sliced off in battle and he managed to get away initially.

It'd explain why there's not a ton of blood in the freezer, but still where he was... y'know...

That's probably not an injury that'll stop bleeding without something like a tourniquet, but it still leaves the question of "so where did his arm get chopped off and by who?"

[Considering what everyone else is saying there is just. So much blood everywhere, like Vergilius-san is still here.]

Tourniquet or maybe some pretty intense cauterization.

[ He didn't examine the body so can't say for sure. ]

It sounds like at the least the arm cuttin' happened prior to that, so it helps the timeline a bit.

It won't. The blood was undoubtedly his.

There was quite an amount of blood on the cabinet and blood outside of the freezer.

Does the blood by the freezer looks like it could have been from someone getting their arm removed? What about the rest of the blood in the room? ]

[ Ain't technology wonderful. There's more blood by the dent Wang lu checked out actually, which has a bloody trail to the freezer. By the freezer is still a mess, but it's not the most concentrated location of blood for sure. ]

[ It's the only thing he really misses of the modern world.

So the blood concentration is by the dent? How high up was the dent anyways? Was it the height or close to the height of where his arm would have extended if he was to punch something? ]

The height of the dent is a bit lower than where Wang Lu would swing to punch something. ]

I wasn't implying he removed his arm himself. [ Just making that clear ]

I wouldn't think he would cut his arm, but there isn't enough blood inside of the freezer. The bloody finger prints on the handle matched him, and I could only use two fingers to open it without disturbing the prints.

So it's clear he was opening the freezer. Perhaps to get to some where safe while the air was polluted or to hide from whomever he was fighting with. There was blood outside of the freezer... [ He's going to pull out his phone. ] I'm assuming his arm was removed then and either he tossed it into the freezer himself or the killer did seeing the freezer already opened.

[ The blood part bugs him though because there is only blood from you know... arm chilling there and not any splatter or spray from it getting removed ]

Admittedly, it might not be important to focus on who did it at this point.
