WEEK 5 INVESTIGATION
INVESTIGATION
Good Mourning. Unlike the previous weeks, there's no musical serenade to greet you, just the ambient sounds of the island and the stirrings of those you spent the night with, if you were the type to want company. For those of you on certain islands, the background thrum (and siren laments, for those unlucky) of the warp phenomenon may also have sung you to sleep; but will they sing you to waking? You know how this goes by now, so is anything on this of all mornings really comforting? And is everyone you spent the night with still with you...?
Indeed, the not-so-dulcet tones of the ever-present haze fill the morning; you may not want it accounted for, but here it is nevertheless.
(( OOC: Welcome to your final murder investigation, let's get this party started☆ ))

what about the snow itself? how much has fallen and gone undisturbed on the bench? ]
no subject
It’s a thin little layer of snow, perhaps half an inch on the bench with visible traces from where it was disturbed around Nona.]
no subject
Is any of the blood fresh enough for Beel to still smell, or would the snow have washed the scent out? Can he disturb the snow immediately under where that staining was, just to brush some of the fresh snow away and see if there's anything soaking to the floor?]
no subject
The blood is pretty dry by now -- there's not all that much on the bench in the first place, and there's also snow sprinkled here and there. That said, he can indeed dig a little bit in the snow. Carefully, carefully... There's not a lot of it, but it does look like there might be some slight darkening a little ways down.
It's not quite a trail, but something dripped here.]

It looks... pretty messy, but most of the damage looks more like blunt force, though the edges are messier than you'd expect.]
no subject
Since it doesn't look like the blood's trailing, he's going to move away from the bench and more towards the entrance of the room, trying to clear some of the snow with one of his feet as he does so. He's not expecting prints, but he's looking for something, anything, between the bench and the entrance to the room.]
no subject
There's a snowman hanging out not far from Bench Zero, rotund and looking rather fresh; its arms are crooked, though, and its face is quite minimalistic.
There's also something dark on the door leading into the snow room.]
no subject
Let's head to that dark item on the door. Is it a stain, or an object, and what side of the door is it on?]
no subject
no subject
How big is the stain? Is it over or under the handle? Is there anything on the handle itself, or any patterns left behind on the door (ex: like a handprint, shoeprint, or does it look like splattering)?]
no subject
no subject
Anything on the other side of the door, or elsewhere in the entryway? He'll even look up.]

no subject
Can he check the storage locker? Anything of note?]

no subject
Is there anything else in the locker, on the floor or the walls?]

How will you greet the snowdude?]
no subject
He's just going to start inspecting what is comprising it or anything actually unusual about this seemingly ordinary snowdude.]
no subject
Well, the arms seem kind of very haphazardly stuck in there! They also seem to be of different lengths and thicknesses... Really, it looks a bit like a hack job now that you're looking closely. Moreover, the way the snowman is packed is somewhat uneven even if it is round. Like someone really just wanted to get a lot of snow together really, really quickly.]
no subject
I am so very sorry for what I am about to do to you.
[He says to the snowman before he starts dismantling it. No greeting, but at least he'll say sorry for killing it??
He's also going to do this carefully in case there really is something tucked inside of it that happens to you know...be bad for his well-being.]
no subject
Because as it so happens, Temenos' thorough and careful dismantling uncovers two extremely unusual things about this snowfellow:
1. The so-called "arms" turn out to be two broken halves of what looks distinctly like a nailbat, bloodied and messy and surprisingly well-hidden away when stuck in snow whimsically.
2. The further he digs into the snowman... well... the more red he starts finding. It sticks the snow together in clumps, and seems to look fresher the closer to the center of the snowman it is. ... There's quite a bit of it.
....... Merry Christmas?]

[Seriously, what the fuck?
Is...is there anything at the center of this unholy creation or is just a blood depository?]
