INVESTIGATION

Good Mourning. Unlike the previous weeks, there's no musical serenade to greet you, just the ambient sounds of the island and the stirrings of those you spent the night with, if you were the type to want company. For those of you on certain islands, the background thrum (and siren laments, for those unlucky) of the warp phenomenon may also have sung you to sleep; but will they sing you to waking? You know how this goes by now, so is anything on this of all mornings really comforting? And is everyone you spent the night with still with you...?

Indeed, the not-so-dulcet tones of the ever-present haze fill the morning; you may not want it accounted for, but here it is nevertheless.

[The warping seems to have remained with the other islands. For now.

The waterfall area still has some markings from when Skywarp did the good old warp-away-forever, but there is no new damage (nor their hazy warping companion).]

Though she's beginning to suspect that this island was spared by crime as well as distortion-kun, Quin will swing by the aviary and peer in before she decides to go to any other islands.]

[Well.... not quite spared. The aviary seems to have been disturbed, but it may be better to examine this later.

P.S. The waterfall is not a house.]

If no one's made it over to the go-karts at this point she will take the railroad to the next island over. and then i'll chill so other people can explore more

[First of all, the landscape here is probably going down in value by now -- because a larger part of the tracks are warped than yesterday, and it really looks like the thing is thinking pretty hard about taking over the go-kart business.

Second of all...

Well, we're sure Waltaquin has eyes.]

[ And, since she has eyes, she can see that Athos... is alive! Currently the pink liger seems to be next to an upturned gokart, but is currently focusing on something laying on the ground.

And since it's kinda turned away, it's easy to see that he's seen better days, and seems to be injured.

Might be best to approach with caution, Quin. ]

[Help she's not equipped to deal with an injured liger.]

Easy, boy... [She attempts?

Will he let her get closer, her hands held out palms up to show she means him or whatever is on the ground any harm?]

[ It stops what it's doing as it hears Quin approach, and quickly turns and snarls threateningly, guarding what it's got laying under it.

Which, as Athos lunges at her to attack, probably looks like an arm. ]

[She flinches backwards, but since she was moving forward slowly, she might have at least enough time to rip a skeleton warrior from the earth to protect her.

It might not be up by the time Athos gets to her, but it will barrel into the liger as quickly as it can. But, like, you know. Athos can probably get a hit in here while the earth is opening up.

Quin has other things to see with her eyes at present, but she is at least thinking clearly enough to remember if she noticed Alice's crop by the....arm....]

[ Because of its injuries, the skeleton warrior manages to stop Athos in the nick of time, pushed back a bit before it can turn its attentions and try and chomp down on the skele bastard here.

It's more than enough time to see three main things:

First, Alice's crop is not here.

Second, the arm is fairly small, with extremely fair skin, and a patterned white puffy sleeve that can, in all honesty, mean that this is Alice's arm.

And third, there is no sign of any body here. ]
