[ So, Kallamar was going to just burn the conques Lobelia left behind in the Seagull cabana, but apparently that's a bad idea.

So instead, he just brought them all in a drawstring backpack and invited people to do as they wished with them. Happy destroying! ]

[ Yeah, it is, and he doesn’t know if he would even feel right taking her up on that offer. ]

I’ll likely stay out myself, but thanks. [ He tilts his head, a small frown on his face. ] Would you like for me to go grab something for you to eat? Or a drink?

[ That actually throws her completely. ]

... oh. I... Actually, I cannot recall having eaten anything all day.

[ And she can't claim to have an appetite either, but eating is an objectively good call. ]

Then you should eat. Any type of recovery requires eating.

I was originally going to bring something back but… would you join me at the buffet instead?

[ They can look for something she’ll be able to manage to get down together. ]

[ Given the... state of the everything at the resort. Lacus is a little hesitant to go back there and look at the wreckage that love had left behind, but Wei Wuxian is right. And Lacus doesn't like being stuck in the past.

So she turns in the direction, expecting him to come with. ]

[ He smiles, taking a few quick steps to catch up to her so they can walk side-by-side. For a long, unusual moment, Wei Wuxian is silent. ]

...Would it help to put your feelings to words? I know the two of you were close.

[ After all, they shared a bed. There had to be some level of trust there. ]

[ Would it help? She feels sick. She's horrified. She has questions, so many more questions. She wants to ask 'why' until it all finally makes sense and she knows what the next step to take is.

But what use is there venting all of this to someone who cannot answer her? So what she settles on is this: ]

I always knew that the two of us would have to part ways. I had just hoped the end would be different.

[ Silently, Wei Wuxian holds out a hand. He isn't one for much physical affection, but times like these... he thinks it's important. ]

Sometimes the end is not what you want nor deserve. However, you can at least honor his memory.

[ Lacus hesitates for a moment and then places her hand in his. This morning, she's been walking like this with Zelkov, while fearing Lobelia dead. Tonight, Lobelia has passed on and the steady human warmth of Wei Wuxian is helping keep her steady. Times change quickly. ]

... and I shall do so, yes. I can only hope to keep it away from those he's hurt.

[ They certainly do—and how strange is it that it's a necromancer helping her along after her dear friend has passed? But maybe it makes the most sense. ]

I don't think you'll have much issue doing so. There are plenty of secluded spots. I can help you find one if you like.

[ He didn't have especially strong positive feelings towards Lobelia, but he didn't hate him. ]
